This episode is the one that convicted me that they were not going the way of most anime, and it made everyone in division 3 reasonably competent, showing them learning from each other and working together. Then comes the Vice captains stand against Kaiju no 10. Few doubted he was a badass after he fought no 8. The fight with no 10 showed he wasn't just fast but good at what he does. Episode 10 is such a great followup and just further reinforces the vice captain as a well developed character, not just an antagonistic force to poke at Kafka It is amazing when they use the Godzilla theme to announce no 10's transformation into his full power form.
