I wonder if they really think this time this aid package will be the game changer? What would be so different about this package that the other ones couldn’t do? Matter of fact the other packages were much bigger. For 2 year Ukraine was getting dam near everything they ask for and some! Right before the super super UAF counter offensive, Ukraine received the best of the best in armor units, intel , nato trained troops and artillery just to name a few. We all know how that went. So in honestly confused as to what the celebration is all about. Ukraine has to literally lean and beg the west in particular the USA for everything! Is this what a winning side looks like? Is this their strategy against the 2nd strongest military in the world? To beg for more and more every time your close to running out or Russia destroys dam near everything from the last shipment? The people pushing for these aid packages and pushing for Ukraine to keep fighting are selfish and ignorant! Ukraine is destroying this country! Ukraine male population is in a really bad state. They’re either dying on the battlefield or, trying to flee Ukraine by hiking through wilderness, swimming across rivers on the freezing cold or paying bribes at the border where there’s signs that warn them of the drones flying around that will shoot anyone trying to escape. You have other men dodging the mobilization kidnapping vans. These mobilization officer are literally beating down and kidnapping boys and me and forcing them to the front! You think after a beat down , snatched off the streets and forced to the front, you think these guys are motivated to fight? They surrender any chance they’ll get. Russia is destroying Ukraine economy, destroying their cities and towns, their energy infrastructure etc. how about you super pro Ukrainian fan boys swatch places with the Ukrainian men who don’t want to fight. I know you won’t! Your sitting safe behind a computer or phone running your mouth.

It ended up lasting them to about November last year when they started crying again about lacking everything, This I think is for $13 billion. But 20 billion in this bill is to replenish USA stockpiles, which means the Biden Administration was cheating. Ukraine really got somewhere near $67 billion worth of stuff in the first 12 months. plus the Europeans gave them another $30 billion in gear. By my math that means they got about $97 billion from the start of the war to December 2023 and by that point they were running very low. that means they need about $97 Billion for 21 months or $4 billion in gear per month.

That is because fracking, the extraction method that emerged in the mid-2000s, has become less efficient there. In the technique, water, sand and chemicals are injected at high pressure underground to release the trapped resources. Two decades of drilling wells relatively close together, resulting in hundreds of thousands of wells, have interfered with underground pressure and made getting oil out of the ground more difficult.

This may probably be among the last US aid package, except for purchases. The US pretends to hand over the Ukranian issue to the EU, so it can focus on the Pacific issue. It may consider that it may have not achieved its full goal of feebling Russia, but suffice to keep it tangled in Ukraine and not also messing around in the Pacific, although it may provide China with intelligence. We'll see how the foreseen swing in EU governments result: more nationalistic, like the Reps in the USA; although paradoxically very pro Israel and Ukraine of their leaderships in contrast to the citizenship which is lukewarm towards Ukraine in the best cases, and more clearly against Israel.

To support those Aircraft your going to need trained pilots, trained technicians, a very good runway, and a good hangar. Which means there is going to be a huge bullseye on any of these camps.

only some of them. The rest of them were brought into Ukraine all the time while Congress argued about this aid. This is why Mike Johnson had to yield - they explained they already sent the aid and now it has to be paid for. Aside from very conspicuous stuff like F-16s that couldn't be used secretly, most other stuff was supplied all along and the way Ukraine was struggling despite of that shows this aid bill wont make much difference, except add some difficulties countering ATACMS, but I believe after couple weeks it wont be an issue. As for F-16, there's no upgrade there, it would be just as easy to shoot them down, as Mig29

The irony is striking: to save us from any sacrifice, we undermine the system so it veers into instability and collapse, generating extremes of sacrifice. A similar destination appears in this chart of the psychology of collapse: we avoid the pain of sacrifice and convince ourselves that something or other will magically create a secure future without us having to take responsibility or make sacrifices. In the current era, this something is technology: AI will do all the work, etc.

I think you are overestimating ATACMS. I haven't seen any evidence of them hitting anything. They were fired at Crimea in conjunction with Storm Shadow missiles which did hit their targets, from my understanding Russia has little to no trouble shooting down ATACMS.

We now calculate the Permian has also produced half of its reserves and expect sequential growth to turn negative within the next few months. With a growing degree of confidence, we expect 2024 will be the peak in Permian production. Over the last fifteen years, the US shales have represented all non-OPEC growth. In the previous five years, the Permian has dominated US shales. , we are entering an unprecedented period of tightness in global oil markets.”

The ATACMS 168A (unitary warhead) are very big missiles - 3,000 lbs. They have a higher velocity than GMLRS but still should be easier to capture on radar and to defend. Also because they are so big it will be difficult to mass the launchers for an attack. 1 missile per launcher for HIMARS. the M270 (tracked) launcher can carry and fire 2 at once.----- I think that as long as the volley size of ATACMS is limited to 6 or fewer (that means 2 batteries of HIMARS or 1 battery of M270) then the S-400 battery, a S-350 battery, or even S-300 regiment with the 48N6 missiles should be able to handle the attack. Very expensive defense frankly I would just move all the aviation back and let the bridge soak up the missiles. You can repair the bridge let the Ukrainians waste them on a propaganda win. There can't be too many of these missiles. They are very old and there were never many to begin with. Also these are a danger to ships in Sevastopol and also extremely dangerous if anyone holds big meetings within the combat zone.

Sorry but you might check the real situation. US aid is split into different parts. Only a percentage is for Ukraine. Denmark will give the F-16 to Ukraine after they get F-35 from USA. That might be not in 2024/25/26. The artillery shells (1 Mio.) promised by Chech Republic are on delay. Good hope is what has been send to Ukraine and they will fight another 6 month.
