No this is what we want to see! It’s so real. Social media is the worst in December (& most months tbh), I could do something Christmassy everyday & I still feel like everyone else is doing it 100x better than me and my poor kids are suffering because I’ll never be good enough. It’s so so hard & I feel you completely on being overwhelmed. Parenting is SO hard, I don’t have words for what a superhero you are to us parents for showing the truth instead of editing out all the hard parts! I hope you & P are both feeling better now ❤

So I totally relate to everything you were saying and feel exactly the same…life is hard! Remember your feelings are not trivial they are 100% valid. Don’t feel bad or put pressure on yourself. You do so much and you can see just how happy and healthy your children are. Everything can’t be perfect all the time. This is exactly what we all need to see and want to see. I don't think you realise how much your videos make so many people feel less alone. We all have times where we doubt ourselves, compare ourselves to social media content, and then have a go at ourselves internally because we think we are failing as mums or not doing what we should be doing and knowing there are other people out there having the same thoughts as us is fantastic and makes us less isolated. You've created such a nice online community who all love you as you are now. Let's be honest.....who can really afford to do all the things we see on social media? I know I can't. Even just taking the kids to see Santa has gone up in price and yet we are made to feel the guilt when we can't do these things. You are a fantastic mum, your children adore you and they are a credit to you! Anyone else on here who is feeling the strain at Christmas, please know you're not alone and you're all doing a fantastic job! We've got this guys!!! We can do it! Much love to you all!

Telling it like it is is so good for all the Mum's out there. December is horrendous and people need to give themselves grace. Phoebe will be the only girl in her class who got a phone call from Father Christmas and that makes it way more exciting than going to see him like the other kids. It makes her incredibly special and she is so lucky to have a Mummy that asked Father Christmas to do that. Playing that card game was way more important than taking your child to an outside entertainment. It is what makes her home a loving environment. You are doing a brilliant job and even if your girls are sick they know they are loved and treasured which makes them feel so much better.

It's so hard when your expectation doesn't reflect the reality, I booked our santa trip in September, was so excited and my eldest was to cold and was just miserable 😫 I was so gutted and it ruined my day but I thought you know what, there is snow on the ground it is cold why am I being so mean but I just wanted it to be perfect as I know next year she won't see the same magic, I hope your December picks up lovely xxxx

I honestly don't know anyone who is hav8ng the perfect instagram Christmas in real life. I saw my sister and her 3 young children today and apart from stuff they are doing at school, they aren't doing anything christmassy at all. I'm sorry to hear you're having such a tough time. I'm not a mum so can't u understand your guilt. But I am an auntie an my niece is 9 and she still believes in father christmas so I wouldn't think too much about p not believing next year. You are an amazing mum and like I tell my sister even the best mum's need some help sometimes! We all appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos. Oh Jess 😥 I just want to give you a hug! I don't want you to feel like this but at the same time, it's nice to know I'm not alone in how I'm feeling! I bet all the social media perfect christmas people aren't real....they're bound to have days like us going on that they don't show. My daughter is now 12, and I spent the last 3 years absolutely crippled with osteoarthritis in both hips, and last christmas was absolutely crap because I couldn't walk, couldn't decorate the house properly etc. I've had both hips replaced this year, the 2nd one was a few weeks ago and I can walk again which is amazing but I'm still so exhausted from 2 major surgeries within a few months. Our decorations are not up yet, I've not written a single card and the last posting day is tomorrow. Our decs normally go up the 1st of December. I feel like I've missed 3 years of being able to do christmas things properly with my husband and daughter. I was planning to make this christmas so different but December passes so fast. Our house is a mess....my life feels like it's a mess! I hope P feels better soon and the rest of you avoid it xx

I feel your pain x our December is rubbish too but then again our whole year has been x our daughter has a medical condition which has altered all our plans, no visit to Father Christmas for us either or anything really chrismassy at all. I cry most days because of mum guilt, its a killer and i mentally beat myself up daily. Your doing what you can and thats all that matters. Hope you have a lovely Christmas x

I can relate to what your saying about missing out, i don’t have kids myself but i currently have covid for the 3rd time, i’ve lost all taste and smell so having to cancel dinner plans, had to miss out on going to christmas markets with my friends and family get together due to not wanting to be around my grandparents that are still vulnerable, it’s shit when you see everyone doing all this festive stuff and you just feel like time is going too fast🫠

These sickness bugs are rife! We have had covid all week and my 6 year old missed her only nativity as past 2 years has been online and next year she doesn't do it. There were tears.. mostly mine but I felt so bad she missed it because we were all ill! They just don't seem to get a break.. hopefully thats it for the kids now and they have a lovely Christmas period with no more sicknesses.

I feel you. This is my first Christmas as a mummy after 10 years of infertility & even though my little boy is only 4 months old I pictured December to be so different. We've had cold after colds in this house and not managed to do a single Christmas thing yet. I hope the rest of your December gets better and you manage to do some things as a family 🥰

But life isn't perfect and social media whilst is amazing also makes you feel like poop & adds so much pressure on us. Your babies are happy, healthy & loved thats all that counts. Anything you get to do beyond that is a massive bonus. Also love the fact you show REAL life thats relatable.. its so much easier to connect with someone who shows life for what it is the good & the bad. Oh Jess I hope you and P feel better soon pls don’t apologise for being real I follow another lady on instagram and KZbin and she is real like you she has 3 children and her youngest is 3 and has meltdowns frequently and she has cried too and has mum guilt too, just because you are blogging for us and showing us your real life and not something staged helps us to relate because we go through these things too when other people I follow don’t show what truly goes on in their life makes you think that they are not being real with their followers, we as you do for example during the car ride with Neil and you said about his erratic driving 😂😂😂 and the debate about the temperature 😂😂😂.
