i’m also so scared, i’m having mine in 3 weeks!! how was it? hopefully you had a speedy recovery!! i’m most scared of the anesthesia… i hate the idea of being completely knocked out and unable to breathe on my own. i also am afraid of waking up during it or it not working. how was the anesthesia? any words of encouragement? 😢

@@nicoleadoresyouu girl!!! It was one of the best decisions I've ever made. It is scary because we don't know what to expect, but honestly it wasn't anywhere near what I even though it would be. I always feel sick from general anaesthesia, but I talked about my worries with the anaesthesiologist and he took that on board to minimise that feeling. And to have anti nausea iv meds ready when I woke up. And I needed them. I felt nauseous within 10mins of waking up. But the iv helped. Also, food helped. Even though its the last thing you may want, your body has been fasting for so long, it really does help. And a cold sprite and the nurse even put a fan in my room to keep me extra cool. I was fine within 30mins. The only uncomfortable thing were the drains. I stayed overnight, and the drains were removed before I left hospital the next day. And rest as much as possible when you get home. And hopefully you have someone there to help you for the first few days. By the 2nd week, you'll feel so much better but don't do too much. Im now at the stage where I can lift and be much more mobile, even though running and anything that makes you bounce is off limits for at least 3mths. The feeling of not having heavy breasts is such a relief. Im so excited for you. You got this!
