We've had a blocking high here in the UK and, I kid you not, here on the south coast, it's been grey and damp for about 2 weeks with no hint of cloud breaks and sun. To see your vid with blue sky is like coming from a different planet!! Love it.

Sup sam. Ive noticed in time that march flies love the colour blue

We cook the mixture not the fish. Soak overnight in a brine solution that you can float an egg in. Next morning drain the brine. We then cook the mixture ,white sugar. white port wine, vinegar, spices, onion. Layer the onions and fish (We use suckers) then pour the hot mixture over the fish (We use Mason jars) and pop into the fridge. Wait a week and have a go. Longer storage, I freeze it. You can add sour cream to the finished mixture if you like.

I’m going to give you a hot tip mate, loose the blue shirt. When I lived on Fraser we would not wear blue as that colour attached the Marsh/Horse Flies.

We went up a week after your October trip for our annual trip and I gotta say we (or should I say I) caught more big tailor in a few days than I have in the last... forever, including a PB. Every year we say we'll go for a jewy fish at night, but we camp at Waddy and the fire and cold beverages always make us say "maybe tomorrow night" and "definitely next year". Also I swear I played soccer against you in the late 90s early 2000s ahaha

Something about that joint that keeps us all coming back. Caught my first fish there in the early 90s and it's still my favourite even after doing black bass and GT internationally...
