Nah it’s only effective if you stay in the gas. I’ve literally thrown a gas grenade on a cash out and a heavy walked into it and stole the cash as his teammate killed me. He didn’t get one heal and yanked the whole shit before dying right after he stole the money. Shit like that shouldn’t happen imo. You shouldn’t be able to just stand in gas and tank it with no healer.

@@th__n_nybrothat has to be a not effective radius granade because is impossible to a heavy to steal in gas, he runs out of time, so probably your granade was in a bad position or it bugged with some collision. Anyways you should never rely on gas alone, a lot of teams run the heal beam for that reason so the gas is actually a bait to kill the medium and the heavy before they steal

Splatoon is the only game I've played where you have to physically be on top of the payload, or it won't move- most you can just be in close proximity. But honestly. A fun thing to note: burst fire weapons generally are more controller (sticks specifically, not gyro) friendly, making it easier for sticks players to learn the game without being stifled by the recoil. And if the famas and berretta are the new first unlocks, instead of the ak and m11, it will make people stick with the game longer. Not to say that the ak wasn't beginner friendly, but its light counterpart is just downright punishing to learn the class on. Also a send-off for recon senses: goodbye you little [redacted], if you come back you better just be a big single sonar pulse

SS2 sounds good. Heavy Nerf is a need, tired of having double C4 from 2H team. Heavy is broken in SS1 imo. Great update imo. Hope this can bring the game back. Pls add the in-game ping, it seems they havent optimised the game good enough to show the in-game latency ping.

Honestly it’s not really an optimization issue but just straight up hard to run on the cpu. The cpu is what’s used heavily with all the breaking and moving around parts of the map,walls,rubble,etc

I'm not a fan of lights having the only hard counter to invisibility. They should rework recon senses to be a deployable sonar grenade, that doesn't have a lifetime. Effectively, it would be something like the turret or the APS(except take up ability slot). This way, mediums can be focused around defensive plays whereas lights will have the more offensive option. To prevent using it for quick offensive plays, you can just give it a longer deploy time(and a 10-30% increased radius to compensate). TTK should also be higher across the board.

I don't agree at all, invisibility wasn't a huge problem before this update and it won't be a major problem after. If invisibility becomes meta, heavy has motion trackers which do pretty much what you described. Overall this is not only a buff for lights, its a buff for mixed teams.
