As a wx main, I’m honestly so happy they gave wx a more complicated way to increase his health/sanity/stats, and makes it where he’s more of a choose your favorite way to play rather than chugging all the gears and losing all your gear upgrades from dying.

By far one of the more creative updates, and I love that nothing is really nerfed, only added or ever so slightly changed. Scanning bosses and environments to prototype lights, along with mixing and matching lights/buffs for WX-78 both fits his character and looks quite fun to carry out.

Its also important to say that you can charge at a charged lightning rod (and winona nitre generator) getting struck by a lightning doesnt boost you now, you can still eat gears but it won't increase your maximum stats, and you can beat don't starve without hitting anything with the thing from the goats

@@mysteretsym Nothing can beat Wanda when it comes to late game and it probably never will. While i'd say he's probably second best in late game. Being able to teleport at any location in the game is too strong that movement speed can't replace, especially since it works across worlds, plus she has the best weapon in the game too that can't break and on top of that all the other watches.

Today i managed to kill Dragonfly, teleport to Fuelweaver kill him, next was ancient guardian as soon as he respawned, teleported to mosaic and found loot stash and killed klaus. This only took me like 6-7 days, i am annoyed that i didn't have a timer but it was just so random, i didn't plan this. There doesn't exist a character that can compete with this. I have over 20 backtrek watches and i can be literally anywhere in both worlds in a matter of seconds. Also i always stay old on her and carry life giving amulet in case i die.

I have a feeling the valves will of course changes, but this could make WX the ultimate solo character. Infinite heat for scanning D-fly for winter so need for a thermal stone. Speed boosts whenever you like. Absurd health. Highly adaptable. Wagstaff eat your heart out. He's coming for you.

I really like this reworK! I was always interested in swapping mains from wicker to wx. Im glad that this rework made the upgrade system more customizable. I think its pretty balanced how in the old system you would have high hunger, sanity, and health. But in this one you get one of those VERY HIGH and the others rather low. Or you can have all three balanced. I also really enjoy the speed boost and the scanning mechanic reminds me of how you unlock webber's switcherdoodle recipes. Overall really cool and excited to play it once it comes out of beta!
