3 reasons why she should say yes 1. Hey honey this kayak will keep me safe out there I got the motor to help me in case I get in trouble 2. It is going to allow me to fish more waters, catch more fish 3. This in turn will make me happier and happy husband happy life right ? Haha

Hey Aliex, I am now subscribed to this channel too. Bet you never had this question. I don't see anyone talking about in regards to the electric cable between the kayak and the ePDL. I believe you own an Auto Pilot and must have used the die-electric grease that Old Town supplies. Since you are in contact with Ryan from Old Town, and without me having an installation manual in front of me, what is Ryan's recommendation for applying the die-electric grease, knowing die-electric grease is an insulator and not a conductor. Web search for die-electric grease in general reads only at the outer mechanical connection to prevent moisture, and some recommend loading it up everywhere, including on the electrical metal contacts. As I mentioned in your other channel, I am about to receive an ePDL 132 and want to get it right from the get go.

hey man, I just used the grease it came with, sorry about the late response, i have been using mine for months, cable gets wet with saltwater, no issues yet

Hey Alex, I agree 100% on using the dielectric grease supplied by old town. My question is of how you as a pro use it. Do you put it on the metal electrical contacts themselves or do you simply plug the cable into the socket and then just put it around the gap to prevent water from entering the socket?

On a calm day how would you feel about taking this into deep water? Recently retired and wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a deep water ocean kayak if such a thing exists.
@ALIEXKAYAKTEST Жыл бұрын
It is built for big water, the boat will be fine as long as you keep your center of gravity, don't lean to the sides too much

What’s better that old town or a hobie PA 14
@ALIEXKAYAKTEST3 ай бұрын
Hmm, it depends, but I personally prefer this over a Hobie 360 for sure. A regular Hobie PA14? It depends on how I want to use it. If I want a bow-mounted GPS trolling motor, I might take the PA14. For fishing offshore? 100% this one. If I could only have one kayak and I want to fish with my bow-mounted trolling motor, the PA would have to do. Otherwise, this one. It's a hard decision, lol. If you say PA14 vs Autopilot 12... I mean, Autopilot any day. It's just that the Bigwater isn't my favorite.

Does the epdl unit still float?
@ALIEXKAYAKTESTКүн бұрын
it should float. The console should keep it up near the surface so long as its air tight
