Orange Piccolo is definitely a well deserved transformation. He deserved a transformation a long time ago, but since he is not a saiyan, he can’t get cheap boosts from fighting. I think it’s fine for Piccolo to obtain it this way. I’m just hoping Toyataro doesn’t just forget him like how DBS and GT has been doing.

Another fact is that the symbol on his back is an ajisa(hope Im spelling that right) tree which symbolizes Namekian pride and also piccolo using the dragon balls the way he did also keeps up with the lore of namek of how they'd use the dragon balls in times of great suffering or desperation overall great video bro Im loving these analysis videos keep doing the most 👍

I completely agree 👍 I'll be honest, when I first saw the movie I was a bit bummed that Piccolo made a wish yo be stronger... but was glad to know that he was just unlocking his latent powers. Something that's always been there but just needed to be awakened. Even his form. Orange Piccolo; for as boring as the name sounds, it's essentially a representation of the DragonBalls itself. Different shades of orange and red. I love it. Plus he got 2 form. His Orange form is something that can now compete with Goku and Vegeta's Ultra forms. Especially since both him and Gohan did a little training to gain a better grasp on their new powers. I'm even happy with his Potential unlocked/Ultimate form as well. That his own form to compete with Gohan's Ultimate, and the Saiyans' God and Blue forms. If anyone deserves it, it's Big Green himself 👍

The frustration I have is this form is the most important information about it, the fact that it's the culmination of Piccolo's Namekian heritage and functions as a reward for his service to Namek and the dragon balls is relegated to the promotional material rather than the actual story itself.

I think the problem people have is that it breaks the establish rules of how the Dragon Balls work. I don’t have a problem with the Piccolo having his potential unlocked because he’s always used his time wisely by training and improving as much as he can but since that isn’t enough in this case, he needs to grow stronger in other way besides training, which is pretty pragmatic in this case. And the second reason because this isn’t even the first time he’s used a method outside of training to get stronger; the first time was fusing with Nail. I like Orange Piccolo, but I don’t like how he achieved it because one, he just got a new form, so let this new Potential Unlocked form have its moment to shine and breathe. And the second reason is like previously mentioned, how he achieved the form breaks the established rules of how the Dragon Balls work. It has always been “ask and you shall receive” type of thing. Shenron has never gone out of his to do things of his own volition, nor has it been explained how this even happened.

@@maximillianoorosco-randhaw9336 characters don’t always train for forms, like super Saiyan, sometimes it can feel more earned in other ways than just training, and he could have gone even further beyond and wish to be even stronger, but he just wanted to draw out the power that has always been in him. I feel like his wish was just a mix of elder guruus potential unlock, and how elder Kai got gohan his ultimate form, not braking how the dragon balls work, and besides dende had to upgrade the dragon balls for it to work.

@@Multiversal2010 I know, but the way Shenron said “I threw in a little extra” conveys that the Orange form isn’t part of Piccolo’s potential. That’s why I said this breaks the established rules of how the Dragon Balls work. Piccolo asked for his potential to be unlocked, not only Shenron did just that, he went the extra mile, conveying that Orange is something else entirely. This is a contradiction of how the Eternal Dragons operate.

Also I remember reading an interview where Toriyama says Goku, Vegeta and Piccolo train in their spare time. Meaning the in between arcs and time skips Piccolo is training. I hope that also applies to Tien and he'll get something soon to.

Okay so, Goku has Ultra Instinct Vegeta has Ultra Ego Gohan has Beast Mode Broly has his Super Saiyan Berserker/Ikari state Piccolo has Orange The Androids can train to keep up (17 & 18) or just got an upgrade (Gamma 1) And Roshi even has his pseudo Ultra Instinct technique... Honestly, if Krillin, Tien and Yamcha trained and mastered Kaioken, while Trunks and Goten trained and unlocked ssj3 or even just Ssj God; id be completely, COMPLETELY, BEYOND satisfied. Everyone could be useful and pull their weight whenever another threat comes. A fan can dream 😄😴

Piccolo has done a lot of cool things over the series but 'wishing for a powerup' feels like 'unearned' strength and from a plot POV seems a bit pointless when they could have easily wished for the Red Ribbon Army to be gone once and for all. The priorities of these characters lol

I have a feeling Orange Piccolo is not his completed transformation..the buffed up state reminds me of ssj grade-2 and grade-3...knowing Piccolo, he may ditch the buffs to gain more stable power and speed.. Also, on contrary to what most people thinks about Piccolo achieving Orange form..Shenron never gave Piccolo the power boost..it sensed its creator Kami asking for help..so, as a sense of gratitude towards its original creator, Shenron gave Kami a "gift"..we have seen many Master-Pupil relationships before,but never a creator-creation relationship.. Its something never been tapped into Dragonball before..

I have no qualms with Potential Unleashed Piccolo, it's a clever call back to DBZ and Namekian lore. Orange Piccolo on the other hand... comes from nowhere, steals the spotlight of Potential Unleashed in the SAME movie it's introduced, and somehow lets Piccolo jump over SSBlue level and Gamma 2, granted that half the issue is the Gamma's being this stupid powerful but still. Power scaling makes absolutely no goddamn sense in this movie.

Honestly I don't think this form was also deserved. Ultimate Piccolo, sure I can buy the dragon granting that, but this "extra" thing while pleasing to the eye (which is more than I can say for Beast Gohan) is still an asspull. You tell me we could have just asked Shenron this back during the Saiyan saga?! Pour a couple liters of water on the dragon and boom. It would be a different story if this Orange form was actually the Namekkian version of god ki, but I don't think it was ever confirmed...
