I’m thinkin’ of nothin’ but the places we played
Down on the river and Wahiwa too (where he lived in Hawaii in 1972; later on I did too)
The Pounders at sunset with a bottle of brew (our favorite beach for parties and body surfing)
And Bumpus and stars in the sky as we flew (Bumpus was a ‘funny’ Army guy we knew; we tripped on LSD at the Pounders one night)
You were with me and brother I was with you (and now)
