Hello my name is Stephen Taylor, and in 2016 I bought a derelict shop in Birkenhead, U.K for £26,000 at auction.
This building was in such a poor state that the guide price at auction was just £10,000 - £12,000.
It has now been split into two completely separate properties:
A four bedroom house, and a commercial shop unit.
I have worked as a joiner for 20 years, and on this project I did as much of the work as possible alone to save money.
