Welcome to Mow, Sow & Grow! This channel is all about maintenance on our 22 acre property in Iowa, my mowing job and our Kioti CK2610 tractor. Join us as we renovate the property!
I got my tractor back from the dealer an hour away after some warranty work. See what was wrong with it, how long it spent at the dealer and how I feel about the tractor after the first year and 100 hours.

The Kioti CK2610HST Cab only weighs 3400 lbs without loader. Take off any 3-point implement and don't put anything on your quick attach and you'll be at around 4,000lbs. As long as your trailer doesn't weigh 2,800lbs you'll be fine. Any car trailer can handle your tractor. If you're really concerned about it, the loader comes off pretty easy on these. They even have kickstands built into them.

Eh, my Transit can only tow 5,800lbs with a 600lbs tongue weight. It’s a unibody and not really made for towing much. I’ll probably pick up a used truck one of these days.

Thanks! It's a Homestead Implements Pinnacle Series 55" here's the video of when we got it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKC4qK2pZ9OUoM0 I have no regrets with the amount of power, it has done everything I've asked of it. We have some steep hills on our property so I rarely use the High gear, some people complain about that with the 2610, but it doesn't bother me at all.

I pulled my 2610SE with bucket and forks AND backhoe on a 20’ aluminum trailer with…. A Jeep Liberty diesel. 4 cylinder 2.8 liter. The tractor weighs around 6k with the implements I had. Your Sprinter will do fine.

Bought my CK3510 Oct 2021, came with 2 year bumper to bumper warranty. This past August on a Mon I backed tractor in garage with forks on and some planks on forks, I shut it off with bucket halfway up to unload planks, thought I heard wife holler supper so I lowed bucket to floor, it came down a bit hard and shook tractor, thinking nothing of it I went in house but wife said something else so I went back out to unload planks, I went to start tractor to raise loader off the floor and as soon as tractor started it shut off and everything was dead...... So at almost 5pm I called dealer and the tech guy said to look for blowen main fuse, found that and it was blowen, so they said they'll be out Wednesdays. The guy showed up about 1pm, he changed fuse and tractor came back to life, restarted dozen times and it was fine and said could've been a fluke but he said for a main fuse to blow some big wire had to short out, if happens again we're going to have to bring it back to the shop..... So next morning, Thursday, I went to use tractor and it did the same thing again, start up and shut down and everything is dead, I called dealer and they sent tech guy out next day on Friday about 3pm, he change fuse and they aint cheap, shook wires and tractor still ran, he re-started it several times and it ran fine, then he went to passenger side to check under dash, as he went to kneel down he put his hand against the dash and tractor shut off, blowen fuse again, he got back up and said this is going back to shop, I'll have dealer call you for pick-up time...... Next morning, Saturday 11am-ish they called and said they are sending someone out to pick tractor up, they are around 40 miles away. The pick-up guy showed up around 1pm, I told him the fuse is blown so how you going to load it, he said I dont care about fuse and brough some sort of jump-starter cable, he hooked it to the starter and started tractor right up, I said to myself I have to get one of those jumpers, in a matter of minutes he loaded tractor on F250 with trailer and some tie-downs, and away it went........... The following week on Tuesday the dealer called and said they found problem, the main wire harness was chaffing near steering column and they ordered new harness, I said thank God you found it, in month & half the tractor is coming off full warranty. Then they said it will take about two weeks to get part and put back together, I thought to myself more like two months. The following week after that on Wednesdays the dealer called and said tractor is all fixed and on it's way back and will NEVER have that problem again. They might be right, it's been about 3 months and tractor still starts up without blowing fuse....... I never paid any shipping or transportation cost, so why is it when I see a repair video, they are all paying a shipping and transportations bill for new tractor under warranty...............

Apparently it doesn't matter which brand you buy there's always a possibility of problems,, there's a kioti dealer near by but the LS dealer is halfway between home and camp so that's the direction I went. Sure enough got one with issues but I can't say enough about the dealer, they've picked it up and dropped off a loaner twice at no charge to me, he called me yesterday and said they've finally got it fixed and are extending my warranty to compensate the hours of testing.

Tough break. Ive had mine for 3-4 years now and i abuse the crap out of it, only problem is had was water getting into the starter ignition switch (key hole was left uncovered) and water got into my third function relay/switches. I replaced both myself for 100$ (all three parts 2 third function and the ignition). The loader recall is something i might look into but it sounds like it might be a “covid supply issue” when companies were struggling to assemble things so they took shortcuts. Any way you could test the light switch and see if it works/supplies power? A wire harness really doesn’t get to effected by water unless it has something else inline like a fuse or relay or something. Should just be wires going right to the lights. Seems odd. Good luck.

@@MowSowGrow3 sounds like you might have a bad dealer. Big part of owning a tractor goes into self repair and reliance too. Glad warranty is covering it though, ive never had a warranty do anything for me, i stopped paying for them. Lol

Not so sure about the bad dealer part…I’m pretty sure they know what’s going on since they have actually inspected it first hand. my warranty is the factory warranty that’s included in every tractor sold, yours should have one too unless it’s older and now out of warranty. Not sure why you wouldn’t use it if you’ve got it…

@@MowSowGrow3 same problem with my warranty as you had with your “shipping” no trailer. Im not paying 350$ for them to pickup/return a tractor for 100$ in parts covered under warranty. I picked them up at the dealer on the way home and had the tractor running in 20 minutes. No need to wait a month. Farms and homesteads cant wait a month for a dealer to “get around to it” when there are things to get done. All together from the ignition going out to me fixing it was roughly 48hrs of being down, i was working my day job so it wasn’t a big deal. I couldn’t wait a whole month.
