The death of Lenny was the death of any future in the gang as Hosea knew he was growing old and needed someone to take the reigns. If you listened to camp convos, Hosea speaks to lenny differently. Lenny was book smart, had great perception, and had a clear mind. Lenny was supposed to take Hoseas place if Hosea ever died from old age.

@@adg21092 They were both some of my favorite characters in the story and seeing them end was heart wrenching. I wish i could forget everything and experience it all again. Also i played this game for the first time during a rough time in my life and it helped me with my mental issues and depression. This game holds a very special place in my heart.
