You said it. Swift strike is amazing. Ryuji gets Swift Strike. Thus, Ryuji is amazing for most of the game. Late game, moves like Swift Strike fall behind to Charge-based strategies. Ryuji gets Charge. Thus, Ryuji is useful the entirety of the game. Nevermind the fact he is the arguably hardest teammate to take down with his high HP and EN (Makoto may have him topped though with her much better Psy weakness and auto-Raku) and his ability to provide good support with Matarukaja.

@@NWOtion Honestly I think depending on ones playstyle every Character can be useful. My 2 favorites gameplay wise are Ann and Morgana. Makotto is a late bloomer which is why I think she is slightly overrated but she is pretty awsome in the late/end game. Haru I would say is in my opinion the least useful. However she fits my playstayle well and still kicks a lot of ass in mob fights and minibosses. Yusuke with his physical attacks and his speed buff is also pretty good. I found all partymembers to be useful and I use all of them through out the game. Ryuji might be my least favorite, mainly becuse I dont like his style and I have mixed fellings about his character, but I use him against Madarame and Shido and he does a great job.

I think it made sense his real world portait in the original wasn't his cat form until the end since he only accepted being a cat when that was the form that saved him from being killed Mementos and after regaining his memories of how he was created. It's an ability you get from raising your confidant with him (S-Link in previous titles; essentially becoming friends with him). It allows the player to instantly kill lower level enemies by dashing into them.

andres lot I guess it depends on how you feel about the game. If after you beat it, you really liked it and want more, then I’d say go for it. If you feel too burned out, I’d wait to get it. Obviously, if you didn’t like it or felt like it was a drag, then don’t get it. From what I’ve heard, there are plenty of new features that even change how game events play out. So it really depends on your feelings at the end and if these features warrant another playthrough (and another $60) I really liked it, so I’m definitely gonna go for it.

@@danilosilva7032 I can't speak for Iceborne since I don't play MH games but with regards to Witcher DLC, Royal's extra content is much less of an actual DLC as the base game had to be altered to account for it. The argument can be made that it could have been DLC instead of a full game but that's not what the chose and it doesn't mean that charging for it isn't justified given the development time.

The original story is still there, with the addition of 3 new confidants (1 being vastly more fleshed out and 2 brand new ones who tie in to the overall story). The biggest changes story-wise, is the addition of the 3rd semester that is roughly 25-30 hours of content that extends the original game; basically, it no longer ends with Yaldy. As for a spoiler version, I may do one. But right now I'm focused on getting out videos covering the bigger changes to core mechanics in depth.

While I'm still really stoked for Royal, even though I am getting increasingly worried when I hear about certain aspects of it, you can't compare Golden to Royal, you really can't. Golden being an entirely separate product from the original, vanilla P4 is fully justified since Persona 4 had came out in 2008 and Golden had came out in 2012, there is a considerable gap between the two. Just the fact that the original p4 came out on ps2 is enough to validate a remake in this case in my opinion. Golden was at the time the pinnacle of a Persona game, and I think it's not even debatable that that is the case. You can argue about the story and the characters and make comparisons to Persona 3 FES, but you can't deny that in terms of gameplay Golden really was just that. Golden. This may be a controversial statement, but I can say that, to me, finally giving us the control over what skills we want to inherit when fusing a Persona, thus making the Persona fusion aspect of Persona, one of the main aspects of the games from this series may I add, infinitely times better, more compelling and just fun as all hell is the single, most important thing, feature, addon whatever you want to call it, that has EVER happened to the Persona series as a whole. You can spend entire hours making your dream Persona because there is just so much skills which you can choose from and even more combinations and ways you can go about it all. Persona 4 Golden laid the groundwork for almost all of the mechanics that are now universally praised in Persona 5, and that's just the mechanics, Golden improved upon its predecessor, Persona 4 on PS2 in this case, in more ways than just that, going above and beyond that which was expected from it. I mean, this is the game that later validated the necessity to buy a PS Vita, a dying platform at the time. A Japanese game, from a series that, at that particular point in time, couldn't even dream of reaching the heights of popularity it has at the moment, later went on to become a console seller for PS Vita. So going back to what I was trying to say, Golden didn't cut anything from something that was supposed to be a definitive edition of a certain game, Golden really is the definitive edition of Persona 4, without any DLCs, or having to buy the same game twice just for a couple of new things. All in all, I'm still going to buy Royal of course, but Golden will remain as an example of a perfect remake along with last year's RE2. This was supposed to highlight the things that make Golden really worth it compared to not-so-worth-it-things in Royal, but instead it's just my rant about how much I love P4G I guess, so sorry about that everyone in the comments. So to summarize, new costumes, Personas and such should have just been another DLC to the base game while everything else like Kasumi and the third semester should be a free update.

You can certainly argue that Golden is still overall better than Royal, but not if you haven't played both. :P Also, I guarantee you that had Golden been released in the current market it would have 100% had paid DLC for costumes and boss battles. Now, saying that the 3rd semester and new characters should have been free is not only wrong, it's just complete ignorance. Without playing Royal you could argue it should have been paid DLC, but not that it should have been free. That's like asking a company to make a complete game and demand it be free. Especially considering Atlus could have made an entire new game with as much content as they added to Royal.

As someone who just finished P5 Royal (first Persona game), it absolutely stuns me that so much of what I took for granted was absent in the vanilla version of the game. Things like the showtime attacks just feel so in line with the game's sense of style that it's bizarre to me that there exists a version of the game without them.

@@henrylee0123 The difference with that is, Re:Mind is entirely post game and doesn't change anything so drastically as to the point where programming would conflict with the base game (example, Akechi's Confidant now being manual instead of Automatic)
