One more thing that you might want to know to understand some references: In the beginning of season 9, there was one more hermit - TinfoilChef, also known as TFC. He was a Hermit in every sense of the word; spending most of his time on the server branch mining and only occasionally surfacing. He was also by far the oldest Hermit, being in his early 60s and this acting a bit like the other Hermits Grandpa. Unfortunately, TFC passed away in the Fall of 2022. So if you see a TFC memorial of some sort in Season 10, you know why.

Some really important fan culture rules: Rule #1: The Fans do not know the “rules” of the Hermitcraft server. If something made it into a video, all involved parties are okay with it. Rule #1A: If someone on Hermitcraft isn’t okay with it, they will deal with it together, whether that is behind the scenes or on-camera. Rule #2: We are not necessarily privy to how the Hermits resolve issues. It happens privately sometimes. If you don’t see them publically fixing it, you still don’t need to (and should not!!!) post comments or tweets bothering the person you consider to be at fault. Rule #3: The Hermits you see on screen are equal parts genuine, and improv roleplay characters. Wars and conflict in-game are fun enrichment for the content creators, not indication that they have a problem with each other. Rule #4: The Hermits are all adults, longtime friends, and professional colleagues. They do not need and do not want us fighting their fights.

Skizz mentioned before in one of his streams (or the I&S podcast, can’t remember) that even if he does join HC, it’d be like a full time job, which makes sense considering the scale of how hermits play and their content. Basically, if he joins, he’d have to quit his job which he doesn’t see working out. As much as I’d love to see him interacting with hermits all the time, it makes sense that he doesn’t want to lose the financial stability his current job if he becomes an official hermit.

Scar often ends up having a "shady businessman/ conman" phase where he will try to sell stuff for high prices. S7 "magic crystals", S8 with his wagon story line, S9 the HotGuy fan shop. As well as several businesses endeavours in the live series.

Small lore thing worth bringing up in a more comprehensive video: False (the character, not the real person) has a twin sister who's also called False. They used to pretend to be one person on Hermitcraft before some atrocities happened, and False wiped her sister's memory before shoving her through a space-time rift, where she turned up in a different SMP (which Hermitcraft later had a crossover with).

I think it was Grian who said it, but I think that might be the case for the upcoming season. At the very least, it was an idea that got some level of traction. Hermitopia really was such a prime example of what the Hermits - and indeed, any group of Minecraft players - could accomplish. They came to the Empires server and in only the span of a week, maybe two, already had all the farms they needed up and running and were well on their way to working on the asthetics. Meanwhile, the Empires crew were still making trading halls and skellygrinders, as though they had only started two days ago XD

Another thing to know, even though every hermit technically are pg, alot of them (i do mean alot) have what I like to call pixar humor. This is implied dirty jokes that are not going to be caught by your average 10 year old. Scar sometimes do these by accident, like saying "assolotle" instead of axolotle. But there are also other examples I cant think of right now, Rendog does alot of them. And if you watch them play phasmophobia, you will hear even more of this Pixar humor.

Ive been watching HermitCraft since Season 7 and it has been one of my favorite series in all of media. The characters and the people behind them are amazing, truly the stories they weave and entertainment they provide is priceless. I can't wait for this season and only found it out is so close a few days ago, looking forward to new alliances and stories not to mention the new people, I really do hope its Skizzleman I know there are ALOT of amazing creators out there but I would love to see him on the Hermitcraft server! During the Hippie time travel arc in Season 6, Herobrine makes a canon appearance in Hermitcraft. So while he may not be Minecraft canon, he's definitely lurking somewhere in Hermitcraft. Also something I was reminded of recently, Jeff the Minion. While he hasn't appeared in episodes outside of Evil X animations in X's s8 since Season 1, it's worth mentioning as possibly the first example of Hermitcraft Lore

You are talking about the Civil War not the Prank War, the Prank War lead into the Civil War, but the big difference was the that the Civil War had clear sides, but also was called the Civil War by Hermits and fans at the time. I've been watching Hermitcraft since season 6. BDoubleO100 along with Paul Soars Jr. and Generic B were my introduction to modded Minecraft with Attack of the B Team, and I learned how to play from the tutorials Paul Soars Jr. posted on his channel. That was back in 2012, and I've been playing ever since. My first introduction to Etho was with his SMP of Sky Factory 2 along with Vintage Beef. I also enjoy the Life series. Whatever they come up with, it should be fun to watch.

I started watching season 7 because of Grian and then watched everyone (even TFC back then) watched the consequential seasons (the 9 may be the less) and my favs are Etho, Grian, Keralis, Cleo, Pearl, Iskall, etc. The NHO from season 4 was great. The good thing is I've been watching old seasons from different POVs through the years because the content is HUGE (really). One of my favourite if not my favourite Minecraft series.

Also notable, its unlikely to be mentions but there is a possibility of the mentioning/reminiscing about the time the moon became big and everyone had to abandon the server in one way or another before they were all destroyed, including but not limited to, some flying away in rockets, the boatem crew falling through the boatem hole, if I remember correctly at least one pulled a wizard of oz style hot air balloon escape, and many other ways the hermits of season eight survived. also, something I'm annoyed hasn't been mentioned since it happened was the architects sending five diamond blocks to a future season via rocket at the end of season six.

Even if the life series isn’t considered canon (which it most definitely is) there is still a death game that took place on the actual server in season 6 called Demise. Having had the same creator as the life series (Grian) it’s sometimes thought as life series season 0.

Just some anecdotes of the past: If you think scar killed it in this last season, you haven't seen S5. The city, the vex storyline and the BIG DIG was insane. Not to mention the absurd world spawn. On the "capitalism" aspect, hermits tried on season 5 to make "service shops" and, in the beginning, avoid using diamonds. (A lot of IOU shenanigans obviously). Some of the hermits didn't like it, so I believe that's why they don't mess with the diamonds as much nowadays, even if the economy gets inflated bcuz of 1.18. Also, it was a missed opportunity from this video to talk about the starting main gimmicks of each season. S6 with the districts and railroads (GOAT season IMO), S7 with the eye ocean, S8 with the horses paths, S9 with the hermitssipi... Now a little on the future, S10, from the first episodes, looks to be very unappealing from the start. No gimmicky seed, not many biomes, just plains everywhere. But that's not that bad, as bdubs said "the hermits will sculpt the land themselves". So expect some crazy custom biomes!

Just wanted someone to know what I heard.

Doc is one of my favorites beside many others. I wanna see if Doc manages to break the server in season X or the server breaks the GOAT. He is a legend of it's own and he dose things like no one else.

Two other things I thought of: Charity events - While I think there have been others, the Gamers Outreach event last season led by Scar raised nearly half a million dollars raised to provide gaming units to various children’s’ hospitals. I anticipate one this season. Minigames - Hermits have probably built hundreds over the seasons and at least several hermits have indicated they’ll be focusing of them in s10. A video reviewing all of them from all seasons might be an interesting idea. 🍻

It’s probably important to note that hermit lore doesn’t really apply to every hermit. For example, Xisuma has his ship thing going on but for a lot Hermits that’s not cannon. Really it’s up to viewer to decide on how hermitcraft works for them personally and very few people in the fandom will subscribe to the same cannon.

One of my biggest hopes is maybe that they probably not randomly but somehow they try to group up with people they don't normally I don't think any of the Hermits don't like each other so I think it would work really well to have like groups like that that kind of shake things up instead of just having like the same people always together. But I do understand time zones and all that kind of make it hard to group with some people like I would actually love to see and not because people are trying to ship them which I think is dumb like Etho and Gemini do collaborative work together I think that would be really cool taking their two different build styles the shell essentially. We could dub them the siblings because I hate people trying to ship people what chances are we'll see people doing similar things we might even get to see iskall and Etho again they are pretty dynamic duo. Or maybe even Etho and beef as beef did mention that he wants to try and be more social
