Mike Palm is out playing a bunch of shows. Great band with some cool covers like Pipeline and Miserlou. I missed him a couple times at the Yucca Tap Room in Phoenix but maybe one day… I’m going to see Ministry, Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper this weekend. Maybe a Ministry sponsored lesson soon??

Cool! I haven't seen them in several years. Glad to see he's still at it. Let's do it! Which Ministry song? Email me if you want to do one.

As far as the tone goes, were you using any pedals? Or was it just the gain from your amp. I’m pretty inexperienced when it comes to matching tones so any tips would help lol
@ScottGuitar Жыл бұрын
No pedals on this one. Just the gain from my amp, it's all tube. A lot of treble and mids, light reverb. Bridge pickup on the guitar. Single coil pickups are going to sound best. It really just takes experience and practice to match tones. Just figure out a tone you want to try to emulate and start messing around with your amp settings and guitar settings to see how close you can get. If you have multiple guitars, experiment with the different ones to see how they compare (Gibson vs. Fender, Single Coil vs. Humbucker) etc. Hope that helps!
