Yep. I reckon you pissed off an Italian 😂😱Sorry, I don't mean to laugh or disrespect you, but as an Australian with Italian parts, I can honestly say that if you offend an Italian (even a dead one 🤣) they will hold a grudge. And there are some Italians (especially the old fashioned ones), that cannot take a joke either lol. I hope the Italian didn't follow you home, but if it did, apologise, tell them you didn't mean to offend, rest in peace, etc etc. LOVED this cemetery btw. Sooo many beautiful statues, photos, just everything. Loved it all. Thank you 🙏🇦🇺❤xx Teresa

I see that after you touched the statue someone wasn't too pleased with you! We must remember, that spirits are simply people who have shed their bodies, so the things that bothered them in life will bother them in death. As an Italian, I can tell you we hold those who have passed over and cemeteries sacred. I'm not saying you did anything wrong, but that spirit sure thought you did.

The stark difference between English burials and the Italians is astonoshing. The marble statue’s are so emotive. All of my Italian relative’s spent thousands on their loved ones gravesites. Led lined coffins and big lavish head stones. But these are somewhat over the top. Especially with death creeping up on the children. Thanks for the sneak peak into other cultures.

New here. Hello. Maybe you should have gone back to her and apologised for 'creeping' up on her ;) Also, seeing you re-lay the flowers, reminded me of one of my cemetery wanderings in Lyon. There was a headstone with a 'call us or loose the plot': until then, I didn't realise the spaces were 'leased'. Anyway, it was a lonely looking thing. No flowers or anything. As I walked past I saw a plastic rose on the floor, with no known home. So, I picked it up and put in on the 'lonely' grave. Almost to let the occupant(s) know they weren't forgotten, as daft as that may sound. The next time I visited: after the pandemic, I couldn't find it again: that area had all been cleared.
