Thanks for the update, Olga. It's so sad to see all those destroyed buildings and people's homes. I don't understand why people start wars in this day in age and over borders of land that the leaders can't take with them when they die of old age. I wish Putin would just leave Ukraine alone.
@r.w.emersonii35015 ай бұрын
I wish the "West" would just leave Russia alone. Has the "West" learned nothing from Operation Barbarossa? The U.S. cannot destroy Russia without also destroying itself. Unfortunately, war is a profit-making business in our "Capitalist Utopia". When enemies cannot be found, we create them.

War happens when humans allow a poisonous dream to take the place of reality. Dreamers will sacrifice entire continents and millions of men before they find the courage to examine and repudiate the dream that they idolize. Today, it's the dream of 1812 and 1941 resurrected by those who profit from war.

Olga. I am one of those international volunteers. Twice now -just got back to US about 5 weeks ago. There is certainly much in the NE E and SE that has been hit hard. And it’s also true that there are vast areas, for instance around Zhashkiv, where there is no sign of war save for the air raid warnings (constantly). What has always amazed me is the spirit of the Ukrainian people. It’s awe inspiring. We used to have that in the US but it is well faded to just a thin veneer. I saw corruption of course, but that’s everywhere -and it’s an art form in the U.S. But the work ethic and pride and indomitable spirit is on full display in Ukraine. If there’s damage there’s people on site in an hour. Literally an hour- water cases in hand, tools and gloves, pulling the rubble and helping injured. Civilians just helping actively and immediately. The orcs of this war will never be able to overtake this. Will not happen. Thank you for your reports and shedding more light. Every light helps

Thank you Olga. Very interesting. Great to see some buildings being replaced or repaired but of course it will take many years and many billions to rebuild properly, and Moscow must pay for that. And most important the people lost or injured can never be brought back. You remind us of a very important truth.

I think it was clear when this all started to happen, that it would and will take years if not even decades to restore afterwards. It's a pity that most didn't realize that. For those of you thinking to end this tragedy at the table. It would be nice for sure. But the reality is, that the ideal differences between both sides are simply to big (still). Which makes it more or less impossible to find a consensus about it. It was once close to but ....
