Welcome to Taiwan 🇹🇼 Besides those, I also recommend to try pineapple star fruit juice at Ximen, Ke-die the Fried Oyster with liquid batter, Zui-ji the chicken soaked in a rice wine, and so much more! It’s convenient to travel around by metro system in Taipei and my foreign friends can always find new and interesting food here.

That chicken was MASSIVE!!! I'd love to know how they do that. Gorgeous. That watermelon-lime drink sounded really good, too. Fresh and light -- excellent for a hot summer day.

I'd recommend gua bao (pork belly burger), lu rou fan (braised pork rice), beef noodle soup, pineapple cake, hot pot and the instant noodle that comes with chunks of beef in a pouch If you want to compare Japanese food to Japan, Addiction Aquatic Development looks real good though I've never been

Addiction Aquatic Development is overrated and overpriced, in my opinion, but may be an attraction to tourists.

I think the stinky tofu you got in the US was Beijing style, which is also not my favourite either. They are coated with a greyish sauce, where you can still taste the weird flavour an hour later. My favourite style of stinky tofu is definitely Hunan style which is made out of fried black tofu. 😊
