Exorcism was stated several times to be something very difficult just in general, and that one Mushroom Ant -Girl whatever, had an exorcism ability also, which she took the nen-curse into herself and kinda became pregnant sort of with it, and it took time to purify the curse that she drew into herself. The guy in the Greed Island arch kinda did the same thing by creating a living vassal for the nen-curse to be absorbed into. Kinda sounds unfair and unbalanced though for curses to be so easy to apply and yet removing them so costly.

like kurapika's chains, the higher the risk of the condition, the more effective is the nen ability....knuckle made that condition for his nen ability to be possible....which means, only a melee attack from knuckle adds up to the interest, and including the condition for him to be present in the fight for the counter to add up. it was a perfectly balanced condition.

Meruem is an extreme emitter because of his En. He turned his En into particles that shown like the sun over an insanley massive area. Within the area of his En he can track all of everything that is happening all at once. He pushed En to its peak by basically having 360° eagle eye vission covering a Km or more.

Something I think you get wrong is what a manipulator is. Zeno is not using manipulation in his nen dragon because the dragon is made out of his nen so he doesn't need to manipulate it. It's emission or maybe transmutation.

I'll give you a few ideas on how it can be improved.. 1. Two words.. unlimited ammunition. For anything. Traps. Boomers and grenaders. Gatling cannons. 2. The ability to place the duplicate somewhere within a range from himself. 3. The ability to create a duplicate with some velocity. 4. The ability to duplicate ANYTHING his hands are touching. Like JUST elemental oxygen, or nitrogen. Blood razor. Bone shield. Carbon spear. I could go on for days.

Like Meruem but actually interested in Nen - though just cause its cool. So cause he likes the Pokemon Skittie, thinks himself a Born Leader and for more reasons, he creates a Nen-Beast looking like a certain Pokemon, but made out of pure gold-coloured Aura; its Tail acting like an Antenna that attracts and absorbs the Nen-Ability of every deceased Loyal-Servant who swore Loyalty, did a little Ritual with Him once (needs to be renewed every half a year) and has then died. Extreme Restrictions that he bares with a smile allow for Insanely Powerful Specialist Nen. Every Death transfers the Main-Ability, forcing the Corpse to activate Post-Mortem-Nen but if Post-Mortem-Nen happens by itself, then all the better: then all Hatsu get transfered AND its a bit more powerful when used by its new User, the Owner of the Golden Skittie. Whichever Hatsu is Strongest gets Transfered normally and gets to be used by Percentages as if he is whatvever the Type of the original User was. Funny enough, most wouldnt realize this is a Risk in itself, as inhering one Ability is not as good as Another and there could even be a Kastro-Case - imagine inheriting a Conju+Manipu Power from an Enhancer :) The first Time "Gratitude Antenna" [ Attract What's Yours ] activates is actually Not thx to a Servant dying! See, a Politican-Family actualy conjured a House that is then used by someone who must be a Manipulator, to have anyone in it think more and more favorably of the Family. Worked well for a while, they just invited rich or powerful folks and changed them little by little. Using that on Him turned out bad for them. See, knowing they'd target always Non-Nen-Users, they made it a Risk that if their Manipulation ever fails, the User themselves gets Manipulated now - completly, that is. Utter Slavemindset for an entire day. And yeah, hes naturally immune against all Mindcontrol, its a trait that has nothing to do with Nen. Understanding the whole entire Situation made him smile and k-ll her with the Words "Ah, Nen-Technicalities! The Best Nen! The Best Technicalities!" Cause it was mindless 'Identifying as a Servant of the Almost-Victim' it didnt count as Loyalty, but regardless: He didnt get Multiple abilities, but hey, better than nothing, yeah? So yeah that's why he now has an Ability named in another Language than all his other Abilities are named. Whatever, the Name translates to 'Property Liability'. Not the Strongest Power ever, but as long as you are inside a Building u Officialy Own, u can activate or deactivate the Power whenever and weakly manipulate their feelings and mood and such. The Meruem emission thing makes sense, as the way I saw the arc, the synthesis of hatsu when consuming aura i think was a byproduct of his ant nature. If going to explain it the full emission way, I also see it as he is able to keep and store their nen and aura in his body, and emits it onto his own body to create the conditions to use the ability (emitting the aura rage blast setup onto his arm so he can use their abilities, which can explain as well why he can revert so easily). The true nen ability of his that we see is likely the En he produced, which actually still goes to argue that Meruem was not that skilled of a nen user (as opposed to someone like Tsertridnitch) if that’s what he managed to create on his own. I think this is his ability as he gained it after learning his name, “The Light That Illuminates All”.

Silva upgrade either, no friendly fire, or able to concentrate the power to a smaller point so it has more control. kind of like a bullet you have free control of (maybe with concentrated explosion or an implosion to "sure kill"). Maybe he could do this by imbuding his already extremely strong hair into a needle, similar to master wings paper example, but with all the power of those spheres contained within.

For me it looks like the kimera ants are really born with most of the potential and inherent skill they're gonna get already through stolen lineage factors. As such even though meruem can grow stronger through aura synthesis, i don't think he can actually grow much stronger through training. Which is probably why he have the extreme label. Only real exception i can see is to invent new techniques, but those techniques are already inherently at a very skillful levels to begin with, and i don't think the kimera ants can wield their powers more skillfully than what they are already inherently doing.

5:50 The point with Dual Affinities is that in order to reach extreme in your innate category, you have to train up your second. You can't become extreme in both. I really think the Dual stuff is really just to explain away why we'll never see Machi or Killua display conjuration abilities. Doing so takes XP away from reaching higher levels of skill in Transmutation. They will always make more progress training Trans and Enhancement; training Conjuration just reduces their ceiling for the other two.

The only issue I have is the manipulation explanation. There are people who can manipulate other things than humans. They can manipulate things or objects that they have an abundance of or always have on them. That gives them the ability to train therefore the disadvantage wouldn’t exist for them

You mention how the levels to these nen categories dont indicate strength as is shown in the show and that perfectly explains the placement of users and their specific nen power. Zenos nen dragon puts him in extreme because of how much control he has over it and the distance he can send it away. Meruem is placed in extreme because what else can you do with a nen explosion? Its like the exorcism power. Could he have put more power into the blast? Doesnt seem like it but a nen explosion really has no way to be improved upon. Zenos nen dragon on the other hand undoubtedly was not always that versatile. He worked for decades to make his nen dragon move as he wanted and for him not to be anywhere near it like when we say it take meruem and netero miles and miles away to the nuclear test site. You double back on it being about power here but these categories rate specific powers and how much you can do with them. Thats also. How komugi Could be ranked so high at natural but an eagle gravely injured her and other similar sized animals like a dog or even an eagle/that eagle could have killed her.

The abilities fit the category based on how easily they are able to use the ability. Chrollo didn't make the ultimate category because of the work he has to put in order to fully utilize the ability. Alloka's ability is ultimate because she doesn't have to much of anything but speak in order to use her abilities

I would upgrade knuckles buy giving the counter an insane damage limit, for example, x10,000 times knuckles limit. An insane amount but shows knuckles' willingness to preserver. But it gives him a saving grace against enimies ALOT stronger than him. When damage limit is reached, it can return all that damage to the last person that damaged it, allowing you to manipulate it, but it can also be a self or friendly fire.
