You two are such a joy to watch. You both pick stunning colors for yourselves. Very impressive dye job on that cinnamon colored sweater. You have me sold on the April Cardigan… I was trying to decide between it and another as a gift for my daughter-in-law… the sock with the toe stitches on waste yarn 😂. I almost dropped my stitches, I was laughing so hard. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁!!!

I just discovered you the other day and have binge watched you from the back forward! I too worked in NICU for years and my hands were a mess from the scrub soap. I would use Eucerin Cream. That helped a lot! Love your podcast! It is making me want everything Petite Knit. Even shopped since watching to make the Copenhagen Cardigan and have my eye on the Zipper Sweater. I told my daughter to watch you! I think she would like you a lot! Thank you for all your work with the podcast and Happy New Year!

Lovely reflections and hilarious neck band talk..knitted my daughter a jumper 30 years ago and it was memorably painful to get on…at 18 months old then…she still remembers the saga years later. Still my fave knit ever though made with Jageur wool with embroidery. 😂 joy to knit and she was going to wear it!

I’m delighted to have found your podcast! You are refreshingly natural, your love of knitting and yarn is infectious and inspirational. Re the spot sweater: the combo that immediately jumped out at me is the first one: the colours are perfect together, the burst of (shocking?) pink shouts: fun, joy and confidence! (and I thought suited you so well Paige)- I’m really looking forward to see what you decide on eventually. I love the felted slippers Sarah - I’ve knitted them a few times now and they are always popular. Have also made some for my 2 year old grandson as well as a higher boot type version… they seem to work in infinite variations. I just love your show and look forward to further episodes! Your channel was just popped up in my recommended - lets go aussie knitting podcasts. I did the same with sock knitting of wanting to knit a pair a month and gave up, it's also a bit too hot up north wearing knit socks (or socks in general). You're both lovely to listen to. It's always sad as an aussie listening to international videos and all the yarn used is $1000 dollars and your first born/soul to ship here. I like that you guys alternate talking facing each other and camera, it feels like when you're hanging out with friends.

Super great to see the cardigans too, I'm currently ripping back my Copenhagen cardigan so I might start the April cardigan instead. And I'm so happy I'm not the only one who wears all my knits to work! Thanks for a terrific episode 🎉

Paige, this is a bit random but I bought some Knitting For Olive yarn in slate grey off you a while back, and I was knitting with it (the Eun Sweater) when this podcast came on and you mentioned it!! I just bought 4 skeins of Wren and Ollie after watching this. I hope they understand how a simple plug - like yours - can activate (enable) others to become fans. Hilarious. I do not need more yarn, but I want to make Antique Flora by Wool and Pine and needed a fade of sorts. I just found you both today and I'm catching up. I'm sitting in Melbourne's West and just love that you are in my town. I love all my international KZbinrs, but there is something special about 'local'. Thanks for all your efforts.

Thanks, it was a slog but worth it in the end. The more I knit the more pro-frogging I am. I'd rather have one nice finished object that I'm happy with than multiple that I'm not. I'd say go down to the junior version if you need, I actaully prefer the neck shaping on that one anyway...

I’m from Perth and only have 2 yarn stores ! Could you please share great yarn stores for when I visit and also the festivals that are worth visiting
@twopurlsinapod6 ай бұрын
Hello! I'd say it's more about quality than quantity :P but yeh sometimes can be limiting and it's nice to see yarn in person. There are three yarn stores that I would go to in Melbourne. Maker Maker in Brunswick is most local for both of us and have excellent selection of hand-dyed. Then Sunspun in the eastern suburbs which is a bit of effort to get to but have a great range. Morris & Sons in the city has a few good things but more commercial and things that you can probably get elsewhere. The only yarn festival I've really attended is the Australian Sheep & Wool Show in Bendigo. It's mammoth and runs in ~July. Had a great time but spent so much... Hope that helps!

Hello! I'm so excited to discover some Melbourne based knitters! Your knits are all beautiful, love the variety of Australian hand-dyed used in the socks. The Great Ocean Road La Bella 4ply is one of my favourite yarns, I've made a cardigan out of it and am just about to make another. My cardigan also came out a bit tight, I recently noticed that on the GORWM website they say that this yarn can shrink a bit, and it should be only washed in cold water. Could be why your cardigan also came out small?
@twopurlsinapod7 ай бұрын
Thanks lovely 🥰 yeh I maybe I’ll blame that and not the fact that I didn’t do a swatch… but omg it is such beautiful yarn.

Right now I’m making the Stockholm slip over and it is looking so small. She talks about negative ease but hers isn’t tight. They never explain that either. All of my petite knits run large so I down size. I used my usual size and I’m getting worried. 😮
