You two are the BEST antidote to cold, grey end of February in the North weather. The opposite of blah 🎉. Your excitement is contagious, I was laughing out loud at every squeal of joy. Lovely making plans, will be fun to see how much you do! I am always a bit sombered by how little I can make - despite realising on the other hand that it is quite a lot. Weird. Your classic Sarah and Paige colors at the end were the best! Lovely all around!

When I broke my arm 7 weeks ago, I thought my world had ended and then I found your podcast and as soon as my arm healed enough I was back knitting, very slowly and some what painful but I managed. I am now 1/2 way through a petite knits zipper jumper using BWM woodlands in the colour heartwood and it is knitting up amazingly and I have already purchased the to wool to make my husband one the woodlands yarn colour Fog. Your energy about knitting is so contagious and I love watching your videos. ❤❤❤

For the japanese pattern, Athena Liu here on youtube has a playlist on how to read japanese knitting patterns / charts that has been really helpful for me and it's a lot more intuitive than you'd think! Definitely excited to see how all of these turn out!!!

Lovely to see your shared enthusiasm about each other planned projects and yarns 😊 as for the baby cardigan, I do think your friend's baby won't care if it's labeled as "for girls" even if it's a boy. Our society decides what is "for a boy" or "for a girl" but in the end people should where what they like, and since a baby probably doesn't know what it likes yet, just knit the pretty little cardigan *you* like and it'll look nice no matter if it's a he or a she. 🙂

I wasn't expecting a video from you today and was so happy! I'm excited to see all of those projects come to life! I KNEW you (Sarah) were going to make the Step by Step sweater with that Poppy Yarn and tbh kinda want to do the same thing... Also how brave is Paige, making things from patterns that aren't in English! I've made a few projects from French patterns at the beginning of my knitting journey and it was a struggle, and French is my first language lol... but I'm sure you'll succeed 🙌

I just cast off the Lumme sweater and it’s such a blast to knit! Used knitting for olive heavy merino in a gold color for the colorwork with a navy main color. Can’t wait to see yours!

Love, love, love this episode! I adore your Venn Diagram with the mittens! 🤣❤️ I had a mitten Venn Diagram intersection of History Nerd, Women Spies in wartime & Knitting. I made a pair of mittens for my daughter (huge history aficionado) incorporating the Morse Code knitting technique that women spies used to get information back to headquarters via knitted garments. I knitted a different secret message on each mitten, hilariously rude & blunt, so that she can unobtrusively tell rude folks on the train ‘where to go’ with the simple flourish of her mittened hand! 🤣 Your reactions to each other’s pattern picks was gorgeous! I love your podcasts. You’re my favourite Aussie neighbours. I love that you also introduce me to new yarns like Bendigo woollen mills yarn that if I buy them won’t kill me with the postage and also make me feel better about my hauls of yarn from Norway. And squee I’m going to Norway in October so I may end up explaining to Customs that I’m not planning on selling any of the mountain of yarn I plan to buy.

@@twopurlsinapod I wrote a comment when I watched this video a week ago, that youtube apparently ate, recommending deepl as well (and the ITO website that's mentioned in another comment). I made a scarf last year which I only had a Norwegian pattern for and that worked really quite well. Deepl has a much better understanding of knitting lingo compared to google translate I found, at least for Norwegian. Maybe it'll work with Japanese as well, they do offer translations to and from Japanese. 😊 Anyways kudos to you, Paige, for trying a Japanese pattern. I learned Japanese (for maybe 2 years) about 10 years ago but I know next to nothing and I definitely never knew enough to tackle a knitting pattern, never even got to learning kanjis... 😂
