If it took him 4.5 years to make Stardew valley, and he said he thinks he’s making it the same speed as Stardew valley, and he started the game in 2020, and he said he spent a year NOT working on haunted chocolatier so he could update Stardew valley…. Then I suspect it will be done by the end of 2025. it will most likely take longer tho, he said that he has higher ambitions for this game too

True. But when he made Stardew Valley he was learning how to do everything along the way. He won't have to do that now.

i know it’s impossible but I feel like fans need to separate stardew from HC… it’s clear CA wants them to be separate creative efforts and people don’t seem to grasp it very well. people are so obsessed with it being “stardew 2” that it feels the unique qualities of the game are being overlooked. just my observation and thoughts no hate intended

SV fans kind of are like that with other farming sims too. If it doesn’t play like SV then they aren’t interested. And if the farming sim happens to be pixel art they will immediately accuse it of being a SV ripoff. Even when the art styles aren’t even comparable.

@@TheSlipperyNUwUdle I've noticed that too. Often the first thing I hear or see is something about how it compares to Stardew. I personally really enjoy Sun Haven and when I first found it I only saw reviews comparing it to stardew or accusing the game of being a rip off.

This game feels almost like it was made for me lol. I have hundreds of hours in stardew, it’s one of my favorite games. I LOVE ghosts and anything relating to ghost stories, and I also am a huge fan of chocolate and sweets lol. And combat is like my favorite thing to do in stardew in terms of like the main skill areas!!! And the energy of the game based on the screenshots looks so fun, cozy but mystical and maybe a little more serious than stardew in a sense??? I’m so so excited

the "unleashed" quote at 8:50 is interesting because he definitely broke a little bit from the format in Stardew Valley with some of the things he added later, which I am pretty sure are not in any Harvest Moon game. I can only imagine what the new game could be like.

As someone who’s never coded or made games in the slightest, I can’t imagine the amount of work that needs to go into to making a game from scratch. He could take as long as he needed and I would still be so incredibly greatful

Stardew shouldn't be on mobile 🙄 Mobile devices shouldn't be a gaming device but just a communication device. I get it, mobile is powerful but it should only use for communication due to time management
