And I was considering buying a Pico 4 in the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales for PCVR (even though there is no DP). There doesn't seem to be much out there at that price point with good lenses.

I already don't like sharing any info with Zuck, and a deal with Tencent/ByteDance makes the proposition even worse. I just ordered a Q3, which will be my first headset. So far my searches have been how to DNS block it in my router from phoning home. I want to be excited, and I am to some extent, but mostly for playing PCVR stuff and shutting out meta as much as I can. There's a reason it's so cheap, afterall.

No color passthrough, old lenses and unstable under performing CPU, then it is not a Quest 3, it will be a Quest 2 with worse battery and quality China is famous for.

correction, there’s no old lenses pancake lenses Got rid of God Ray but now has glare Fernell lenses have god raise but don’t have glare there’s a bunch of different lenses that has downsides and upside. and the XR 2 isn’t unstable. It just overheated with the quest 3 light they’re gonna have a better cooling system. and solve that problem.

The biggest mistake with the quest 3 is making the entry level only have 128gb. The lite needs a minimum of 256gb and thats not great for long term. Filled over 128gb on my quest 3 in 15 minutes and I never owned a quest before. In a year or 2 a 128 will be full with 2 to 3 games.

There's NO way that Quest Lite will be 256gb on entry level. It's supposed to be cheap so probably even 64gb instead of 128gb as an entry level.
