I feel like when they do these remakes they make it so cheesy. Aladin was perfect for a Guy Ritchie type movie. Like gritty, the danger is real but fun. I mean in the original a guy screams as he's eaten by a sand tiger in first part of the movie. In Lion king, we see Simba discover his dad's dead body and then his uncle literally says "kill him" to the hyenas. In Mulan, "how many men does it take to deliver a message?" In Pocahontas "Stay away from him! He killed him!" These movies knew how to make us care about what the characters are going thru. The remakes feel watered down & silly. I reeaaallly thought Jon Faverau and Guy Ritchie would've made live actions with the same balance of fun and danger.

What's her first scene? She taking food from a vendor and doesn't even know that she has to pay for stuff. Shouldn't she know about that, especially how she read tons of books just to become a good Sultan? Or how about not once she actually tried to rub the lamp, even though she actually got it and clearly saw how Jafar used it.
