As for the casual mode, I've suggested this exact idea on the discord feedback and was basically met with the response of "ThAtS wHaT rEgUlAtEd Is FoR!". I then tried to suggest that a constant reward for completing a casual mode like regulated would keep players interested over time; both new and returning players. Something like 50 season coins (the gold ones we get a bunch of anyways) per race would do nicely.

Yea, I just want to see success for the game when it's released for free. Such a great game, great concept just awesome. But if it's the same for people dipping their toe in it, then they may not want to stay and "wait" for things to change. I would really hate for this game to be one of those ones that get ditched. Lot of those lately this year and I really love it. Would be so heart broken.

Don't forget hitting or running straight into a fence post, or on a launch pad and you don't land of that higher ground, but instead crash into the platform and fall.

I was wondering why this game wasn't more popular. I can't wait for DreamWorks All Star Kart Racing I think all of the characters will be free anyways. Will you do a review on that game?

Think it wasn't popular due to lack of marketing tbh. They kinda kept the game on hush hush, they don't really let people in on updates until it's already in the game or like IGN does it. Might be why. As far as dreamworks, heck yea. That was my game when I was young, the real old one, then the semi old one. I love kart racers, you're definitely going to be seeing that on my channel on release!

Another thing I've noticed is that bots in Ranked multiplayer arent counted as 'players' in your final placement. Therefore if you have a round with 5 'players' and 2 of those players are bots then even if you come 2nd you will lose points at a higher MPR because 2 of the players werent 'real' (even though they were really racing against you) so in those circumstances because you werent 1st out of 3 'real players' the game decides you were in the bottom half of players and you will lose points and the amount of points lost seems to be completely random. Like... I'm sorry what? 😂 I completely agree that it should be based on skill and skill alone to make it a fun and balanced game, if that doesnt happen, as much as I love Speedstorm I fear that it's doomed. 'A fair game' is paramount and the number one ingredient in the success of online multiplayer games.

At 6:06 is my main issue with the game. Everybody's picking the same characters every time because they're so much better! For example: Unique skills like Mickey Mouse benefits others more than it does for yourself. It just sucks how characters like Mike, Jessie and a select few have superior specials that can dominate the tracks. I can't play my Goofy, Figment or others because they don't stand a chance 😂 Also, Stitch is godly in this game!

I wouldn't mind it, but it shouldn't be just for him. I feel that is too powerful for only one character to have. Also, Mario kart is my jaaaam. I want them to release 9. I think they announced it's being worked on!

Yes, it's already confirmed they have a roadmap for a while. However, it's coming free in sept so you might want to just wait for that if you're on the fence.

Doesn't matter what I launch it on. It's always a gamble if the thing's going to run at 10 FPS or normally I know it's not my PC I'm playing cyberpunk on ultra settings with 55 FPS. Sometimes Disney speed storm will be running at between five frames 500 ive locked it at 60 and it's performing even worse. Now it's only giving me 50 frames when I'm capable of fully running the game just fine

I agree, ranked is a mess . I want to try and level up some other characters, but it’s not even possible when you have an entire server of stitch. Game loft seems unresponsive as well, I’d even be open to paying for a full level up pack of each character, but I hate gambling on the dumb boxes and getting crew shards !

So I played the trial of the game and I'm willing to pick this up! It's actually fun I can see it being time consuming and I don't mind that. My biggest issue is limited events and having a hard time unlocking characters. I hope that's not the case in the near future when it becomes free because if players will see it hard to get the characters they want or compete as a casual I PROMISE you players will vanish from this game faster than they came in. Also I'm not trying to hate on the team devs but being backed my Gameloft is what turned me off in the beginning. They mainly do mobile games and we all know how mobile games are. Decent games backed by big ass pay walls in order for you to progress. It shouldn't be that way ESPECIALLY on console but this game really has potential by how it's talked about for a racing game. So long as they listen to the fans and balance the game for new players AND vets this game will seriously go a long way. The fact that I heard Jasmine will be coming I'm like ok now I'm interested. A lot of people love Disney even those that grew up with it so please speedstorm don't F this 1 up!

They have to clutch mode it to gain a real audience cause DreamWorks is making their kart game and they already have a few so they know the direction they need to head. But I agree the game is really fun, but still has some work to do. It's definitely doable they have time for sure.

only games that require skill these days are purely cosmetic monetization like LoL or Fortnite or some other sad thing is that most games are just p2w and until people stop supporting it, it will never die, people stopped supporting the idle garbage games and now they are realizing it doesnt make money so they are slowly dying out we need this pay 2 win shit to die make gaming great again about skill and practice not who spends the most

I would like a bots only Playlist and cut the exp in half or even a barebones Playlist where all you get is boosts from the pickups. I find the upgrade materials to be frustrating at times too. If I run out and there's no events or nothing in the shop, what's left? Pay for currencies? I hope not, cause that's just gambling...lol.

Exactly, you just feel "stuck" unless you're a mega try hard and play all the time. Like....me...🥲 Otherwise things are really hard or you can't compete because you don't have what they have. Really weird system to have at least weird for ranked modes.

I disagree with a lot of this. Characters just need balancing, point distribution should be balanced, and there should be a just a new mode in general.
