The reason I believe for stumble guys blowing up was probably because it reached schools. I remember last year was my freshman year, and around that time, being after winter break, everyone started downloading it and playing matches during class, rallies, lunch, everything. The game was so popular that you could barely sit with someone at lunch without having stumble guys downloaded.

Long story short the clone passed the original by releasing on mobile. Fall Guys tried to be a higher quality experience on PC + Console but sometimes a low effort clone game "wins" by being in the right place at the right time. Thanks for this video Henke! was cool to learn this story.

Yup. It's part of why Among Us blew up. Fall guys was popular first but it was pay to play. So people went looking around and found this free (with cosmetics) game that basically anyones phone in the past 10 years could run with minimal issues. Pretty much instantly Among Us was more popular and Fall Guys was struggling. Even now it wasn't until the end of July 2023 that Stumble Guys was more popular than Among Us.

Fall Guys takes SO LONG to get you into a game! Takes forever to find 60 players, then it takes like a minute to show you a camera view of the course you already know, then there's the chance of losing in the first round due to the more competitive nature and having to wait way too long for the next game

I don't know why people call the game pay to win. If you play enough tournaments and get good placements, you can get enough gems to buy a pass and get the emotes. Of course you think the game is pay to win if you play it a week and then stop.

Another thing Fall Guys was removed from Steam store when Epic Games bought it or after while. So it wouldn't be able to get new players thought Steam. So looking only at Steam stats might be mistake that you made. Even then it probably would be same case if Fall Guys would stay on Steam store for Stumble Guys - Stumble Guys gets more downloads.

Download speeds are slower, Ui is worse, controller support is non-exsistent compared to big picture mode, you can't launch games that aren't on Epic through the launcher, customization is worse, there's no community pages or forums, there isn't a way to view change logs and future updates from the launcher, there's no way to play older versions of games, no player reviews, etc.

Started playing stumble guys a little before if got popular on tiktok in 3 months i had gotten over 1000 wins and was probably one of the best players then when eleven, one of the big players on tiktok left a little after i got bored of the game and started playing exoracer which eleven also started playing a still play exo till today and elevens skill in exo is amazing

I also think this could be due to different platforms having different content rules. For example, my nephews have a Nintendo switch and would watch Switch Streamers play Fall Guys before getting copy righted by Nintendo. Due to that, a lot of their switch streamers went to Stumble Guys to play the game. 1. Game was free 2. They can play the game without copyright 3. It allow more interactions for their fans to join the game compared to Fall Guys

You forgot to include few things in my opinion: 1) how a lot and I mean A LOT of fall guys players do hate stumble guys , you could added that at the end of the video 2) how stumble guys changed a lot by its best points , for example: stumble guys had content creators better than fall guys in old days before scopely changes this , and now stumble guys have. "Baby Yoda" the only standing content creator for stumble guys community

I think the reason why Stumble Guys passed Fall guys was because the game was faster having 3 rounds instead of 5 like fall guys and easier.Also was on mobile like fall guys never had.Fall guys community tried to convince Fall guys to make atleast a mobile version of it but never had and said they never will.Which is the second problem

It's because of epic games deal with apple they seem to have a negative conversation to one another leading to ios mobile port of fortnite removed thus this led to fall guys never made their foot onto the appstore mobile port. Had mediatonic released fall guys into the ios mobile port from the start it would've fair better if only they were never part of epic games.
