Everything WRONG with Discord's Mobile Update

What are your thoughts on Discord's new mobile UI? Are people overreacting, or is it really that bad?

Yea I do feel people are overreacting. For some reason I can't get the update..is it not released on android yet? I did get to try the beta test back in June I do like it. I don't get why people are overreacting. Muscle memory can be relearn 😋

@@veganbadassTTV I'm on android and finally got it Sunday morning. The way I got it to prompt was I went into the appearance settings and toggled on the new look (beta from June), and then closed and reopened the app, and when I reopened it, it was the new version

@@Gehsture ohhh I used to see that but I no longer see that option I figure since they took us off beta it was no longer needed. So how do I get the new update when that option is no longer available

@@veganbadassTTV I think you'll just have to wait. Make sure your app is updated obviously, but this update doesn't come through a normal play store update, it's a hot fix/patch that applies on boot of the app

If you hold down on a server Icon you can group them in folders, LOVE THAT. Really don't hate any changes and find it easier to find things and perform certain actions

I did notice you can’t go to a message you’ve been tagged in. If you tap the channel you have to search through the chat for the tagged message 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

my problem with the dm button isnt that it's on the bottom versus top left. it's that it's at the bottom AND the top now. your most recent message is at the top of your screen as high as it used to be, but it's an extra step to reach now, and a separate page as well since they got rid of the swipe

the fact is update has made ui very simple actually i quite like this update, i think ppl are just mad bcs of muscle memory thing lol

I agree, I think the aesthetic definitely looks nice and more modern. Like I mentioned in the video, I think they pushed this out a little too early. There's a lot of bugs I've seen complaints about and I think if it wasn't for the bugs, people would overlook small things like DM location change more easily

@@Gehsture I don't blame Y'all two for agreeing but I'd say it is horrible because everyone was happy before and since it changed to become the new "Meta" title, it turned into the "Disassembly Discord and Other Websites Shenanigans," they also want to be meta as well but they are blinded and not seeing what the community wants but instead do what they want. This sounds illusive, but they are becoming Roblox and War Robots in my opinion; Roblox being meta and War Robots being P2W and P2P. Since everything is mainly limited and Discord is making us use Nitro again after people canceled it because they are dropping in numbers. Roblox, War Robots, and Discord don't listen to their community. The Discord app now has 3.6 reviews instead of 4.8 reviews, that's how Discord hit a new low. Discord also wants to be a part of the 'trending' society but instead being a new-gen. Thank you for taking your time reading this, Gehsture.

How do I make any photo in a channel have emoji automatically on Discord? The channel is based on Win/Fair/Lose, so I want all photos and comments to have the W/F/L emoji automatically.

You would have to set these reactions yourself I'm pretty sure. Just send a message and then go ahead and put the 3 reactions you want on it. I don't know if any but they can automatically put multiple emoji reactions on any message you send

That's exactly what's going on with people being upset. The whole muscle memory thing. At first, i was upset myself and thought, "What the hell is this?" I run a community myself with almost 1k gamers and constantly come into contact with messages, and having the bottom thing did throw me off. But after a few days, I got used to it. I've have 0 complaints now ill admit i lll always love the old version, but this isn't absolutely horrible or anything like players are making it out to be 😊
