Everything WRONG with FROM Season 3...

I love From, it's a series full of emotion, horror, mystery and drama. However,
it was never stupid, it was never dishonest with it's characters.
Unfortunately, it took such a direction in it's latest season and I wanted to reflect that with this video. I hope going forward the season gets better and the characters we've learned to like and love, start acting like themselves again.

I was voicing the frustration at all the stupid decisions that were being made this season to my girlfriend as we were watching. Like why are your livestocks unguarded when you literally said your crops are dying. Then Tabitha with the dumbest fucking decision making ever. She managed to persuade Victor's dad to believe her. Then when they are literally a few blocks from the park, she gets hysterical over a damn bracelet? You couldn't wait 5min to see what the deal with the tree is and then bring up the bracelet situation after?! I loved the show cause the characters seem competent, but all if that is being tossed out the window this season.

Agree. Tabitha irritates me so much. The writers need to stop creating lazy situations. Many hasty decisions, as if they were all stupid and impulsive. This is belittling the audience's intelligence.

The way Father catri explains to Boyd’s family at dusk as they first arrive in fromtown was almost perfect. Reasonable clear concise to the point. With both hands raised in a non threatening manner.

It's an entertaining show for sure but at the same time it's one of the most frustrating shows I've watch as the characters make the dumbest decisions. Like why the characters don't ever talk to each other about updates, like things they discovered or events that happen on frequent basis instead of waiting to share the info when it's too late.

9:28 Well, she lead the ambulance to the city at night. A character who held her nerve when walking through the tunnel of monsters and entering the lighthouse, it doesn't make sense to have certain attitudes as a crazy woman. The little boy is one of the most sensible characters in this family. That teenage girl really irritates me too.

I agree. The characters aren't smart humans. Regular people have more common sense than these people and many of these scenes are hard to watch. Why does no one ask why the monsters only come out in the day time? There's a reason. How has Victor survived this long? That's totally suspect. Why didn't they kill Randal? There's a reason. They don't ask enough questions. With all the terror going on they should be asking questions ALL DAY EVERY DAY!

They should take some tips from japanese animes like Attack on Titans. There was big mystery there, but they unraveled the mystrey slowly and steadily while keeping some left. That way it wasn't too much load on the last season or episode. In From, they are writing the script to build more mystries without unraveling any previous ones. There is son many different things going on now and we don't know a single thing about them. Hopefully it doesn't end like Lost did.

Mathews family have been in Fromville only for a couple of months. Jim obviosly loves his wife more than kids. Tabitha is the one who can't live in a family after Thomas death, she wants a divorce, Jim doesn't. In many scenes it was obvious he loves her, want her, values her.

while that is true, he does come to term with her presumed death later on, and decides to go back to his kids, which for me made it forced, they achieved something out of stupidity, that is my problem with the show.

I think season 1 started off like they were going to push some propaganda. What propaganda? I can't say because KZbin will delete it. Then they got a little excited when people got into the show, so they did some decent writing in season 2 and laid off the propaganda a bit. Then the writer's strike happened, and people waited two long years for season 3, and this is what we get. The writing is definitely not there. The ambition might be there now, but the talent is not.

I find ot kinda annoying that colony house people and boyd are angry on that cop for shooting a lady who was just losing her shit and frantically shooting. Tbh imo ot was nikki own fault. You could say when someone is frantically shooting outside it's not the best decision to look trough the window but sometimes curiosity overwhelms us. I don't appreciate the cop for her behavior with Boyd, not for her panicked reaction. I completely understand the people's anger, you would too if you lost somebody you know like that, and you would take her weapon away until you are sure that she can keep her shit together. They SHOULD have opened the door a lot sooner! As of Jimm, all he claims this season is that he wants to protect his family but his actions were quite the opposite, until ep8 and 9.

Thank you for your perspective, however, I think they built Boyd to be super rational and reasonable, while being stable at first (before the voices/sickness fucked with him), that's why I like that they torture him even more now, my point is that he always made decisions based on logic and impressive effectiveness. While in this season he is still the character they all look up to (the 4th episode was a great show of what happens when they don't) but he makes mistakes that I feel like Boyd from season 1-2 wouldn't do.

My problem is it feels like the same as Game of Thrones - where as you said - the smartest characters (Tyrion) went dumber and dumber again and again episode by episode. The show is not consistent, and lack of creativity in the writting shows. I mean they are creative but what I mean is: They dont want to end the show in the best way, they want to end it in the LONGEST way. We are middle way into the season 3, there are NO answers to ANY question given. They had that tree that makes you always TP into the tower - they showed us it doesn't. Boyd wants to take one of the monsters with him to see what they are? YOU HAD ONE, YOU DECIDED TO BURN IT CUZ YOU WERE SCARED. They want him to make the same thing twice. We had 2 seasons of showing fuckeries, how mad this place is - we, viewers, need ANSWERS not new questions, which are still being given to us like ,,what are the numbers in the bottles?" or ,,where is the motel?". They want to make this show as long as possible, which is already imo hurting its quailty, as because of simply lazy writting im choosing season 3 to be the worst for now.

While what is happening now is just stupidity. The show still has it's good moments, even great ones, I love the Victor character and his development, and they had that in season 1 and 2 without the stupid decisions.

Do you think Tabatha got out? or did she go deeper in? I'm leaning towards the latter. For many reasons but mostly because a crucial scene with Boyd in the dungeon. Where Martin asks Boyd if he's gone through the tree. Martin might have meant the bottle tree, while Boyd thought it was the faraway tree that Martin was speaking of. What are your thoughts?

Instead of solving a few things while building on to them they are just constantly building and in the end the story largely remains the same, we or the characters have no clue what is this place or what physics laws this place follows, anything and everything is just possible based on whatever the plot requires at that point in time. The solution to every mystery is two more mysteries.
