Additional point: Mumble at the end of the movie lost a lot of his baby fluff, especially his little bowtie. This implied he'd eventually become a normal penguin, just a late bloomer. For the sequel, they gave him even more fluff than he had the first time, implying he is Benjamin Button. And the fact you didn't sin Erik's awful chipmunk singing- that deserves like 50 sins in and of itself.

Actually the krills were the most entertaining thing in the movie 😅 I mean they are adorable! And they were not just thrown there and there is a point of them being so philosofical; they realize how small and insignificant they are. It resembles us humans thinking that what we as individuals do to save the arctic poles does not make a difference as there are millions of people on this planet. But at the end the very littlest krills made the needed last effort eventhough the krills had no idea that they were even helping by tapping the ice above them. The krill is a very good choise to play this part as they feel unimportant but krills are actually the whole life force that is keeping anything alive in the arctic poles. So basically they are there to emphatise the message that all of our actions matter, in good or bad.

My main issue with the plot of this movie is it starts out focusing on Eric, and in fact, most of the plot is very Eric-related, and then you find out he can't dance, and he doesn't want to sing show tunes, but he kicks ass at opera. ...But then it's mumble's dancing that once again saves the day. Would have been cooler and more plot-relevant if they had him break the ice to let the penguins out using opera, like real opera singers can do to wine glasses, rather than just wooing the elephant seals with it. part of the point of the first movie was to acknowledge a lesser known art ( tap dance ) and thus would have made more sense to continue that trend by having them bring appreciation to another ( opera ).
@anomisk47893 жыл бұрын
To be fair, it would be worth hiring Brad Pitt and Matt Damon to voice act as shrimp, but that would depend on how you write the shrimp and in what story. Heck, they could've made a short movie of just the Krill, 3D animation not required (but would still work because the krill designs here are so nice to look at), make it PG-13, add some nicely-done slapstick humor, maybe some action scenes as they try to survive without the swarm, followed by a believable arc that could combine both an existential crisis from Bill played off with an existentialism mindset from Will.

it’s because the humans in the movie are live action filmed and inserted onto the animation, and the penguins are made with motion capture suited actors for movement/dancing to be animated over. it’s a bit harder to animate over something as opposed to doing a full animation movie from scratch, but the MC helps for dancing scenes because it’s hard to animate things like that (i’m majoring in animation at college and my classes have actually talked about this movie & the original)

Fun fact: penguins R-word the hell out of anything resembling a penguin. Even other dead penguins
@InkGraffiti3 жыл бұрын
Another fun fact:: Penguins have such a strong nesting instinct that if for whatever reason they didn't lay an egg, or their baby died, they will kidnap someone else's baby to raise instead. Sometimes this kidnapping is so aggressive they kill the infant in the process of trying to shove the often unwilling baby under their pouch
