With the SCAR, a lot of operators do swap the charging handle to the right side so they don't get 𝘚𝘊𝘈𝘙 𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘦 and to avoid it hitting a piece of cover they're mounted on during travel.

@@d3th_2_all It happens when you grip the weapon by the mag well and keep your thumb vertical. The charging handle travels along this path and can both hurt your finger and cause it to jam. This is something that can easily happen when firing in a competition or in combat. The most common way I've seen to get rid of this problem is to simply move the charging handle to the right side. The Presence of a vfg can also help.

fun fact: MP7 and MP5 initial mag capacities used to be correct during the initial release of SWAT perk. Guess they decided that T1 MP7 was too good of an option over T2 MP5, so they nerfed MP7 and buffed MP5 by switching their mag sizes (not that it really helped, to me at least MP7 was still more useful because its sight is more open)

the MP7 caliber doesn't have piercing armor capability too in this game. its ammo is technically superior to the 9mm in reality. but at least in the game we can still upgrade its firepower to make it more effective than any 9mm guns like the AR15 SMG and the MP5

@@daegnaxqelil2733 Correction: The MP7 fully upgraded has an increase of x2.3 base damage (36.8, original base damage at 16) The MP5 fully upgraded has an increase of x1.6 base damage (40, original base damage at 25) It's a slight difference but the MP7 would be technically inferior in game, and while it's free, if we were to take in the costs of fully upgrading the MP7, it'd cost 3300 Dosh, while the MP5 is 3450 Dosh. Update 1043 further made the MP5 extra appealing when considering the extra base damage and the reduced mag capacity of the MP7. Furthermore, while the 4.6 had some form of light armour penetrating capabilities, it's noted that its expansion capabilities are not particularly great in real life compared to defensive 9mm rounds. Furthermore, the 4.6 and 5.7 have both been proven to be rather ineffective against heavier armours and plates. It's biggest advantages are lighter recoil, small size for large capacity and high velocity for increased range.

There is a fairly well known bug with the open bolt guns that will depict them as closed bolt. For the longest time, the AA-12 would become a closed bolt gun after a few mags fired through it.

The reason for that is when you empty a gun and swap to something and go back to that gun it will always have a close bolt until you drop it and pick it back up. The Mac-10 is more glitchy with it happening after a dry mag reload even if you don't swap guns with a dry mag

Another bug that happens is that when inspecting a certair ARs after dry reloading them, the chamber would be closed and the bullet clips through it. I saw this happening with the SCAR, M16 and AR15

Fun fact about the FAMAS Masterkey (one of the later released DLC weapons outsourced to Saber Interactive): there used to be a fiddle animation where the player would grab the optic mounted on the rail and *slide it back and forth.* I'm not making this up. It was so hilariously ignorant that they patched it out after some backlash in a later fix.

I’ve played over 2.5k hours on KF2, max prestige’s every perk, and main gunslinger. But somehow I never noticed the deagle hammer never fell forward to actually shoot. Very interesting video. I think a lot of the unnecessary visual flourishes are exactly that. It’s meant to look quirky and cool. I also think that it would be interesting to separate the weapons for tripwire weapons and saber interactive weapons. Because there’s a very stark difference in quality.

Sad to see KF2 abandoned at this level of "attention to detail." Some of these weapon textures appear fucked up, and the later-released weapons had worse-looking animations, probably because they were outsourced.

one detail that always always REALLY bothered me is the special reloads that dual wield weapons do when there is only one shot left, where they will drop the magazine on one gun while retaining the magazine on the other gun, even though realistically both magazines would be empty when ejected. and of course the fact that one-round-left reloads still show a full magazine in your hand anyways this also ties in to the fact that if you were to reaload *any* gun with just one shot left it would drop an empty mag since the final round would be chambered and not in the mag, but i give this a pass as nitpicking im just kind of obsessed with mag dropping in games also lmao

The double barrel ejects 4 shells because the two you see being ejected is from the animation, the 2 other that appear later are "props" for the spent shells. Every weapon creates those after firing

8:22 In the animation for the MAC-10 it looks like it doesn't press the release button at the back of the grip. A L4D2 addon has the animation and you can increase the model FOV and see better the hand.

They don't defaultly. He's playing with a modified fov and kf2 doesn't accommodate that so the muzzle flash and shells are too far forward because of that

No the brass check wouldn’t eject the rounds. The slide isn’t pulled back far enough (9mm pistol) Something you forgot to count for the new model armies is that you can’t pull the pin while the ramrod is up

@@freedoomer2524 1. The slide pulled back far enough for the brass check to eject the rounds. When performing brass checks, it's typically done pulling halfway from the slide through the receiver to avoid ejecting the round in the chamber. 2. You actually can't just drop the cylinder. As I explained, the character doesn’t drop the cylinder, they pull the hammer back rotating the cylinder and it pops out. Yes that’s not exactly how it works but it’s better than them dropping it

With the SA80A2, there are picatinny rail mounts that are available as an adaptor to the dovetail. It's used in current configurations with the British Army, though the KF2 version looks more like it was welded on or considering the lore, the guns were 3D Printed this way. The AK-12's reload animations were referenced from their then weapons advisor who mo-capped reloads with a variety of airsoft replicas. They only had your bog standard AK at the time to work with. Later additions however reused animations from other guns or were lazily slapped dashed as much of the original animation team had left Tripwire at that time. Also to add, while yes KF1 was set in Britain, KF2, less so.
