Probably the same price as a swap, and totally worth it over a new truck with modern emission systems, idk about you guys up there but we have to pass smog on most states and areas, doing this is still smog legal. The economy has spoken and bulletproof diesel is making a killing off of it. Spend 15 grand maybe on a 6.0, spend 10 bulletproofing it. 25 grand is much cheaper than 70, I like your videos but the ford haters always will get proven wrong.

I had a 03 f250. It was ok I put some money into it. Then traded it for a 2005 f350 king ranch. It’s bulletproofed and I love it so much. Three years and 40,000 miles later not one problem

In addition to the bullet proof gear, and egr delete, you should O-ring the head for better sealing. 2003-2005 had the early style coolers, waterpump the 2006-07 didn’t have as many problems.

Jon Nelson the EGR delete is essential on these trucks. I have never heard of an upgraded on like what they did but without the full delete, your turbo will gum up and break.

@@muddinbros4873 good one. I bought mine for $8500. 06 crew cab, 2wd, long bed, automatic, xl, already had egr delete, studded and ringed. I've done blue spring, coolant filter, aluminum CAC pipes, no tunes ever, I've pulled 24k pounds of logs with no issues and power to spare. Treat your 6 good and it'll do the same.

The truck would be fine with original heads. You’ll never push it hard enough to spider crack them. I would know. I ran mine so hot I baked the coolant lines and that’s what it took to cook the heads. About 900 degrees past what the temp should be. Trucks running 1200 horse on factory heads now and runs down the track fine. Hope you guys like the truck. People who hate on them just have nothing better to do

I have a 2004. 6.0. Blew the Egr and head gasket at 70k miles. Bullet proofed it and tuned it and I am still driving it 100k later.

leave it stock and it ll be fine. The most I recommend is egr delete and exhaust. But if you chip it and leave it stock they blow up. Mine has 210,000 miles stock and it pulls a trailer part time. Then again its a 06. What i have heard 05-07 are the best 6.0 to buys.

I have a 6.0 service truck completely stock. It has 190,000 hard miles. It’s had a turbo ring and one injector if you don’t take care of the engine I.E. good regular maintenance yes you will have problems. Mine will run for another 190,000 with probably minimum issues. just take care of it.

dont listen to the negative comments, a bullet proofed 6.0 is one of the strongest diesels out there. One thing that i would have done differently is gotten rid of the egr cooler all together.

To be honest if I were to pick a diesel truck the 01 to 03 7.3l hands down the most reliable engine to be honest yes the newer ones make more power but by time u spend the same amount on the newer truck you could of made a monster of a 7.3l and only had to worry about minor oil leaks from time to time and basic maintenance

Great trucks. A few issues that need address and they are great powerplants. My truck is making over 500 hp then I can switch to my tow tune and tow 13k. Next goal is 600 hp and still able to tow.

If you really look at it’s the same either way you go. Both ways are expensive, forgot to mention fuel mileage difference

Those new Cummins H.O with that Aisin transmission is a pretty solid truck my step dad just bought one, I gotta say it might give the Duramax and Allison a run for the money. I own an 04 and 05 6.0 Powerstroke I used to have a 6.7 Cummins with a 68rfe I miss that engine but boy do I not miss my transmission that cracked in half.

Don’t know the laws in your state but I have a 5” MBRP straight pipe and it sounds amazing. Also don’t call for the trap with a cold air intake unless you plan on making 500+ hp. The OEM intake has great filtration and also spools very well. Stay on top of your oil changes every 5k miles and only use OEM filters

My 03 6.0 has all the same fixes. You will enjoy the ride. I am jealous of your King Ranch package. It's the best option and most coveted of the Super Duty line. Miles of easy towing and cruising ahead.

Paralyze d You’re running rich. Check first air cleaner, turbo shaft for play, check turbo boots for leaks. You may have to rebuild turbo. It gets dirty fast.

Yes there is lol, please explain. A "bulletproofed" 6.0 will be far more reliable than any stock diesel truck if the work is done right. Deleted, Studded, New Oringed Heads, STC Fitting, Dummy Plugs, Stand Pipes, New Oil Cooler, Coolant Filter, Y/Up Pipes. Proper Turbo Cleaning Maintenance, Oil Changes, Proper Cooling System Maintenance. I'll never understand how the 95+ 6.5 GM trucks ever made it into production, least reeliable diesel out there. Not to mention the shit box dmax's from 01-04.

Diesel trucks are so much better than really any Toyota, or any gas truck when it comes to towing. The fuel economy is better, and it just tows it better all together. But, considering how cheap they probably got this thing, it’ll probably still gonna be cheaper than buying a brand new truck.

The people who say “6.0s are the worst diesel ever” are the guys in their clapped out pos 97 12v or lb7 and have never sat in a 6.0. Yes they have their issues but when they are bulletproofed they are amazing. Take care of your truck and it will take care of you. this is coming from a diesel tech that works in a shop that specializes in duramax and owns a 6.0
