I agree that giving Spiderman a Jarvis seems weird. However, the reason why they did so is simple; they needed to give Spiderman someone to talk to; in the comics he's incredibly chatty (talks aloud to himself) and the writers often tell us his inner monologue. And the only way to capture that is to have him conversing with something/someone.

That's just lazy writing IMO, they didn't need to put an A.I so Peter could talk about his feelings. Take for example Raimi's Spider-man, how they actually use characters for Peter to open about how he feels about something.

What's clever about using an in-suit AI is that doings so allows the writers to get, in film, Spiderman in monologue as he often is with himself when in costume in the comics. That's why they did it. Spiderman is always talking, always sub-vocalizing and the added AI was a way to have Spiderman do that without needing another actual character to hear what's going on in Spiderman's head.

7:41 was literally one of the best scenes in the movie when it came to the storytelling, using the lights was genius! The fact that they used the traffic lights to show the Vulture putting together the evidence and then using the green light to show that he understood while still giving him that evil aesthetic was fantastic

I caught it too but it's more of a comic reference. Red and blue are Spidey's colors and shows like the Spectacular Spider-Man have used them to signify good things in his life. Peter wears a blue tie in the sequence. Vulture and many of Spider-Man's villains are green in color so the change in color also reflects that things are about to get bad for Spidey.

I'm surprised they didn't sin the fact that Liz has literally NO deductive reasoning skills. Peter disappears literally any time they have more than a few minutes with each other. And a few of those times, Spiderman shows up randomly. I mean why the fuck would Spiderman even be in Washington in the first place? He's literally only ever been spotted in New York. Not to mention, Peter has a mysterious internship that he isn't supposed to talk about with Tony Stark - the guy everyone knows is Ironman and the leader of the Avengers - and he even "knows Spiderman." I mean, the Vulture figured it out in literally seconds and he heard about all of it second hand ffs.

Zyxyx Yeah because I'm totally gonna suspect that someone who I rarely even talk to in person is off being a super villain when I'm not around, in a world where super villains don't exist. Anyone in her position with any level of deductive reasoning skills would at least be a little suspicious. There are numerous reasons why which I listed in my comment, but also in a world like the MCU where people with superpowers or some other incredible ability or talent are fairly regular at this point, you'd think you might start to theorize a little more. That's why your "grandma" metaphor doesn't work. Like seriously, by the time the Washington Monument scene happens you'd think she might have even just a creeping suspicion. But by the end of the movie, she still acts as though she doesn't even have a clue. You can try to justify it with half-assed metaphors all you want, but this is arguably this movie's biggest plot hole.

The difference between Peter being dropped in the lake and Peter possibly falling off of the Washington Monument is that during the fall into the lake scene Peter had a parachute which ironically was the reason he nearly drowned since he got tangled in the parachute and couldn’t get loose so if the suit hadn’t shown up to pull him out he would have died then and there, when the Washington Monument scene happened Karen informed him that since he had not reinstalled his parachute the fall would most likely kill him. So again ironically if he had, had the parachute that almost caused his death in Washington it actually would have saved his life if he had fallen but that didn’t happen so it wasn’t an issue.

I think that what he was referring to by the lake comment is that when you hit water from a certain height and upwards, it is like hitting concrete. Since he was falling from a higher distance than the monument, the fall should have been deadly.

What makes this incarnation of Spiderman great for me, especially now, considering what's going to happen, is that Iron Man now has an heir, without introducing a Legacy Character, which we all know are garantueed to fail. Spiderman is an amazing superhero. And according to the comic canon, he's a self-made superhero, true. But this movie already shows that to be true. In the end-credits scene that has The Vulture going to prison, it's revealed that Scorpion, a well-known nemesis of Spiderman, has already been put behind bars. And he asks The Vulture if he knows Spiderman's identity, so presumably Spidey was the one to do it. He's made his own webshooters, and his own suit. Unfortunately, this incarnation of Peter does not have materials, wealth or experience, to make the spandex suit. Which makes sense. He and his aunt are a middle-class family, he's going to high school, he's constantly losing bags and the stuff in them, needing to replace his school materials. It makes sense for him not to worry about investing money into a better suit, because the suit he has works well enough. When Tony is introduced in Peter's life, he's given a new suit to suit him as a hero, for one, but also because of Tony's ego. He doesn't want one of his team to be in shaggy clothes, so he makes Peter a new suit that fits the image of Tony Stark. Through Civil War, Homecoming, Infinity War and presumably Endgame, Tony and Peter build this bond. Tony becomes a father-figure for Peter, and Peter becomes somewhat of a protégé to Tony. It's pretty safe to assume that both Captain America and Iron Man will be leaving the MCU as of Avengers: Endgame. Steve already has a spiritual successor in Bucky or maybe even Falcon. His two best friends, who share a fair amount of his ideals. Tony has no one, as such, save for the recently established Peter. Shuri could be a successor in character, but there's no bond there to warrant it. While Peter may be young and incapable of running Stark Enterprises at current time and thus can't replace Tony Stark the entrepeneur quite yet, he is more than capable of replacing the role of Iron Man the hero. Not to mention, if the rumors and leaks about Far From Home are to be believed, Peter will be working for or with SHIELD. That means Peter will come into contact with alot of the technology that Howard Stark has created, and thus, may be able to expand on it. I think it's well-enough established in the movie proper that Peter's been constantly bugging Happy for news about another mission. After a while, he would've just started ignoring him for it. Besides, I'm pretty sure the "Training Wheels Protocol" was meant to be just that: until Peter was confident and experienced enough to know it's the Man, not the Spider, that makes him Spiderman, just like what Tony learned himself in Iron Man 3, the extra options would be locked from him until he, in tvtropes terms, grew his superhero beard. "If you're nothing without the suit, then you shouldn't have it."
