Even easy shots of them standing across the hallway end up missing, which makes each encounter they have with the stormtroopers lose all it's dramatic weight! Has there ever been a scene in Star Wars where the main characters are facing a group of Stormtroopers and you were nervous the main characters would make it out? Because every time I watch a scene with stormtroopers, I instantly know that there's no way these disposable minions that don't talk or show their face (So you forget their human and don't care when they constantly get shot) are going to pose any threat to the protagonist!

TBF, almost the entirety of the movie trilogy follows the main characters, who are dripping in still-wet plot armor. The empire's troops take out practically every Y-wing, most x-wings, most soldiers on the Tantive IV, the sand crawler, all of Alderaan, a ton of soldiers on Hoth, probably more in Cloud City, and god knows how many Ewoks (after the Rebels rope them into their fight). Also, the Bothans who brought us the information about the Death Star, from what I hear.

Rewatching this makes me realize that growing up with Jason mewes and kevin smith being jay and silent bob, makes me realize how little kevin Smith's voice holds any comedic style for me. I personally don't think so because laughing at the idea that Stormtroopers aren't actually good at shooting is an overdone joke. And the only time we see "trooper aim bad" in action is followed immediately by Vader saying "Good, was the tracking device hidden on their ship?" when he hears that the Scooby Doo Gang escaped. Heck, earlier in the movie they managed to hit Leia while she was rounding a corner, which is not an easy shot. _It was a ploy. They got had._
