Everything wrong with the Sony ZV E10

I purchased and very happy with it. The rolling shutter isn't an issue to me. Who whips a camera back and forth like you see people do in reviews in order to show that it exists. I bought it to use on a tripod, so no IBS isn't an issue. However, if it is, just get a gimbal or use a wide lens and Sony Catalyst software. The crop in 1080p/120fps would be nice if it didn't exist, but not a deal breaker for me. Again, get a wide angle lens. There's no 4k/24fps crop, only 30fps. No big deal to me. I have zero issues with the menu system or that most functions don't work with touch. I find it easy to use. The live steaming 720p limit is only if you use the usb port. You can use hdmi and capture card instead. For me, the pros / price far out weigh the cons.

Exactly.. I have just bought the camera and I have used with zhiyun weebill s... It's excellent .. and also with wide aperture lens it becomes the best .. I have no problem with this camera..

i agree with the cons, infact there are even more cons to it, but most of these would be asking for too much at this price point, only thing i would like is a faster sensor like the one in zv-1 other than that, ill bear the disadvantages, fuji has horrible record limits canon has horrible 4k focus sony has horrible rolling shutter pick the one which you think is best for u

Yeah, I respectfully disagree. I understand the cons you mention AND other KZbinrs do mention it. The horrible rolling shutter and lack of certain features. I believe you can live stream at higher resolutions if you purchase other accessories like a capture card or something with a SONY ZVE10. Those accessories can be expensive for beginners. Being able to live stream out of the box without any other purchases is amazing. The sony zve10 body only is $699 and with the below average kit lens is $799. The camera is for price sensitive consumers who are beginners. It is hard to find a camera like the SONY ZVE10 at this price point. Even compared to the Canon M50 II with their unusable unreliable autofocus in 4k. This camera has an old sensor yes, but it is a 6k sensor. So images and video is super sharp and crisp. I am eagerly waiting for the ZVE10 to launch in India. I am looking for a Camera for making Travel and Cinematic Content. i want to do Videography mainly. And I found ZVE10 best in this range. Before I was looking to buy Sony A6400, but then ZVE10 launched and A6400 is also not in stock thats why I decided to buy ZVE10 as it has some extra Video Features than A6400. Like Gyro stabilisation which is to be done in post production, a flip screen and Eye Autofcus in Video. But it has 3 cons compared to A6400, 1) Weather sealed body 2) More Custom Buttons 3) View Finder. But still I am choosing ZVE10 over A6400, coz Gyro Stabilisation is a deal breaker when we dont hae Gimbal. I dont know why but your audience is always ready to dislike the video. I have seen 2-3 videos of yours and I found dislikes more. I think you should end the video on a positive note (Happy Ending) like instead of saying that "This video is focused on the CONS of ZVE10" you should have explained the cons and at the end you should have said that "Still after all these limitations, ZVE10 is the best Value for money Camera available for Videographers who are looking for something with interchangeable lenses or a bigger sensor." I think people are looking for the solutions. You are doing a good job as you are awaring people about the problems they are gonna face but tell them other alternatives/ solutions too. As after knowing the cons only they become confsed, tell them that they have made the right decision that they chose this thing but be aware of these problems and here are the solutions..... Same thing can be applied in your Davinci Resolve video also. But I have liked your videos because you awared people about the problems before and now we will keep this in mind while making a decision. Sorry for the big comment. No hate. I am just telling my opinion. BTW, if you have any idea of the date of launch of ZVE10 in India. Pleeeeeeaaaaase lete me know !! ~Your Subscriber

Don’t. Buy the a6400 if you can get it or just for YouTubing the Sony ZV1 is a better option. It’s a point and shoot camera but has great features.

•No crop in 4K 24fps •Only 1x14 crop in 120 fps •No IBIS at 60k range in any brand •Catalyst Browse for stabilization/rolling shutter •120fps can be managed without stabilization. • Menus though confusing can be memorized Touch screen/viewfinder/inbuilt flash/dedicated dials could have been better but that's why it's cheaper than 6100/6300/6400/6600 despite providing same sensor.

Whatever you do... Your Samsung cannot beat a dedicated camera... Even with kitlens.. you can get good videos on Samsung but you're talking about quality so... It's sony zve10 for the win

Rolling Shutter is extremely BAD on Sony ZV E10 so anyone vlogger may not use this camera on vlogging rather it should be used on fixed position shooting. For usability in real world I think Canon M50 Mark II is far far better than this camera. Sony ZV 1 is also a good camera.

I shoot with a5100 Sony bodies. I have looked at the ZV-E10 and don't really see a reason to upgrade. I always shoot 1080P, all the clips are used for KZbin, and I record sound on Tascam recorders. I can't see a reason to upgrade. I really like my side SD slot and flip up screen. The a5100 touch focus if fine for my use too. I am waiting for an APS-C with new sensors, screens and no crop. Also I want 4K 30 with no crop. I can wait. Very good show, there are a lot of cons to the ZV-E10. There are cons to the a5100 too, but it is fine for KZbin work. Thanks for your video.

If you can find a Sony a6600 go for it. It’s the damn best thing out there. Offcourse it will cost you a bit more than 1L. To be very honest, I couldn’t find anything good in that range so I went for a Sony A7iv.

Every camera in this range or category will have some or the other cons or missing features. You have to understand your requirement and choose a camera that fulfils them.
