I'm a pro photographer, i shoot 2,3 or 4 times a week, and i was using both a7iii and a7 iv. I just got this in order to have a smaller sony camera for social and street photography and i couldn't be happier. Considering the things that you are missing from more expensive models, i can easly say that i get the same practical results with this than with the other alphas, when shooting photography. I can't believe you get this much for this price. Upgrade to a better lens like the 1.8 - 11mm - (kit lens does well), buy a compact, hotshoe flash and you will have a little monster, fully equiped to do anything the a7 models can do, in still photography.

@@flare1614 To me Stay with lower aperture Then it’s up to you My lens for apsc are (But I don’t shoot long distance) Sigma 30 f 1.4 Sigma 18//50 f 2.8 Sigma 17 f2.8 For daylight photos I would go with a zoom lens (in my case the 18/50) but there Sto arrivando! Some nice lens from tamron and viltrox Just type “best lenses for zve10” in KZbin

I am loving my ZVE 10, as far as the rolling shutter I just put it on a gimbal and that mitigates the rolling shutter with slow pans and movements, If you put it in 1080 P there is hardly any rolling shutter.

I am using the ZV E10 now. It is really not bad for its price in terms of the quality and built. The battery life is not that fantastic but it serves its purpose. I tried recording for an extended period of time and it overheat at around 30-35 mins mark of continuous shooting.

I've used catalyst browse on a ZV1 its very good. I'm not sure why so many people dismiss it. You get gimbal like footage without the hassle of carrying and balancing a gimbal. Thanks for the heads up on the camera settings. Do a few tweaks in post after or do you have to add a lut.

That software won't fix rolling shutter if the camera is still and other things are moving. It will fix rolling shutter if you are panning the camera.

😂 Thanks dude....As I mentioned in the video this camera is limited to 4K30 and 8bit. So it is not yet a pro camera, but it's definitely a good camera for the price. I would like to call it the begginer camera, if you already own a6400 you can upgrade to this, but I would suggest you to upgrade to a7iii, I have been using the a7iii for quite a while, even done vids for Naza motors, Samsung Malaysia the camera is a beast.

You don't need any of that for "pro" shooting. Anyone who tells you otherwise is trying to sell you something. There are feature films that were shot on the original A7S and TV shows that were shot on the 5D II and 5D III, all of which only shoot 8-bit 1080p. When starting out you don't need 10-bit colour or even 4k.

I have it. I wouldn’t necessarily call it “pro”. But, it’s pretty dang good for what it has to offer. Funny, the rolling shutter on mine isn’t as dramatic as yours. As your friend showed, Catalyst Browse fixes most rolling shutter. There are solutions people. Be open to learning before jumping on the Whine Wagon. The crop? Not that big a deal. I shot at 4K 60 with mine. I only had to move 1-1/2 feet to get the same composition between the cropped and uncropped version. My channel has my example of it.

You can fix rolling shutter to a certain extent. If you have a person not moving, with fast moving backgrounds e.g. cars, it will be impossible to fix. Also, no APS-C sensor in the market apart from Fujifilm can shoot 4k60p.

The crop is a big deal because it makes ultrawide shots impossible and the camera doesn't shoot 4k60.

the only thing sony is still really adamant about is the touch screen features. I mean, touch to focus is good, but it would be even better with full touch controls. Even the Lumix G7 which is about 6 or 7 years old now has full touch controls. heck even the Canon M50 mark 1.

Absolutely go for the go pro 10 first, it'll be easier for you to shoot and upload, once you are comfortable editing and uploading then would make the most sense to switch.

Poor autofocus would probably be the main reason not to get the A7S II for a beginner, it's also not a great stills camera if someone was a hybrid shooter.

Rolling Shutter is due to slow shutter speeds dude. just bump up to faster shutter speeds.

That’s not how it works. The ‘slowness’ is the data moving off the sensor from top to bottom not a ‘slow’ shutter.

I'm using a Small Rig cage that allows me to mount the ZVE10 in vertical mode on tripods. I'm sure most cages will allow you to do something similar.

I used the Color Space Transform in Resolve, since I was using the Picture Profile I mentioned, I set the CST to gamma : S-Log2 Color : Rec709 You might need to do a little adjustments with exposure tho. But other than that this method works flawlessly.
