For those who have to wait until official release, I played it yesterday and I can confirm that you cannot edit any player ratings or abilities, i even simmed 4 seasons to get all NIL players off my team and you still cant edit their ratings, you can only edit their equipment and physique, i literally tried to figure it out for hours until i finally came to the harsh reality that you cant, and there isn’t even a create a player option, very disappointing smh

For the EA CFB game, presumably they have had thousands of collegiate athletes opt in to an agreement that provides them compensation in exchange for using the NIL. Why not put similar language in the individual agreements that say “ratings can be edited by end users”?

@@mschmidt647nil is a very general and broad term. Not all college athletes are signed to the same nil agency. One team could have players signed to 2-3 different agencies. So if you have 150 FBs schools and for sake of ease let says each school has players signing to 2 nil agencies. That’s 300 agencies that ea now has to make separate deals with because each nil agency may not want the same thing in the agreement. The you gotta deal with the nil collective that each schools have as well because the schools their own collectives as well. It is easier with madden because you are just dealing with the players union. There is no player union in college which is why it’s the Wild West.

Finally someone who gets it, little things really matter. What pisses me off is how aside from a few things the customization is pretty much the same as maddens. in road to glory you can’t really make different player builds like being skinny or ripped, the helmets still look awkward, many different missing face masks, same eye tap, no wristbands, tons of missing cleats, it’s 2024 and there are still no tattoos, hanging months guards, you can’t have hair coming out the back of your helmet, no 3/4 sleeves, and no bicep and tricep bands. The lack of care for little details like these make me not want to play it

It’s simple we got screwed: For ANYONE ASKING: YOU CANNOT EDIT A SINGLE RECRUIT LOOKS/Ratings wise You CANNOT go into other games in dynasty UNLESS you are a user for that school. (No peaking at the MICH/OSU game if you play with USC. Dirty work) YOU CANNOT alter numbers of recruits. Basically the visuals/gameplay are GREAT. But you can’t have control over 99% editing ANYTHING. Not sure if it’s a glitch because dynasty menu does give option as commissioner to edit. Creators are paid not to expose this stuff. This is a BRUTAL flaw in the game. We should have TOTAL control over ALL aspects of editing except altering NIL players appearance.

You have to find the non nil players to edit. For example Florida State has a player with the last name Langston at the bottom of the roster, you can edit his ratings and attributes, even his name. Save the roster, and upload roster when starting your dynasty

Currently in my Dynasty and what brought me here is the lack of player editing for ratings. As a USC fan, EA doesn't currently have Woody Marks (our projected starter at RB) on the team so I went to edit and was disappointed to see how minimal the editing feature is. All you have to do is create your team builder team on pc there you can edit height, ratings & jersey number and skin once you go into dynasty make sure it’s a online dynasty there hit import team builder and then u can edit them in dynasty just want be able to edit ratings my 2 school roster is 99 overall 🤣

⁠hey bro use your Xbox/playstation. Its a little more tedious if you don’t have a keyboard but on my series x I went onto the browser (edge) and it actually works!!! I don’t own a pc either and I built a complete team. The only DOWNSIDE is that you can’t download .png photos for logos. If you’re cool with using generic logos EA provides you can make a team, jerseys, players, ratings, and even fine tune their year in school, face / skin tone, and jersey number. Just make sure you have it complete before starting a dynasty because in the actual game you can only change the name, position, and gear they wear. Hope this helps!

You couldn’t change qb throw style cause he wasn’t a qb. Jonny Moore on ecu is a qb you can edit. I changed his throwing style

I dont think you can edit any rating. From dynasty only the name of the player. I simulated to year 2 and I can't edit the rating of the fake generic player... This is really frustrating

For any player you choose to edit.. you got 1 shot. After your done making changes, no other changes will save.

Even when you edit the apparel on the players, it doesn’t save it! I did the whole team of Texas and went to play a few games and it was fine. I saved it and when I got on the next day it was all reset and nothing was saved. I was so pissed!

Im going to make another comment because people seem to be confused. I ordered the MVP bundle and have been playing since yesterday. There is NO CREATE A PLAYER in the main menu. There is NO CREATE A PROSPECT within dynasty mode. There is NO APPEARANCE EDITING outside of your RTG player. You cannot edit any NIL players outside of gear (helmet, cleats, etc) You have limited editing ability with NON-NIL OPT OUTs; you can edit the following: Name Height Weight Gear STYLE (throwing animation, holds onto the ball, throw ball away, rac catch, etc.) Here is the kicker, it seems like it allows you to edit the player ratings as well, BUT THE RATINGS DO NOT SAVE. So yes you can edit a non NIL player but even after buffing the attributes, that portion of the editing doesn’t seem to save. If you have any questions, fire away!
