It's like a whole channel dedicated to making me love my already favorite movies even more than I did! My 2 favorite directors are Tarantino and Nolan, go do Mike Flannagian movies especially Doctor Sleep! Phenomenal movie, and tons of detailed content to make a video about❤❤❤

Thank you! It’s incredibly flattering to know that someone could spend 3 hours watching our videos and genuinely enjoy them! 😅 We’ll definitely consider covering Mike Flanagan in the future, but for now, we’re focused on continuing the James Cameron story and possibly updating our Nolan series. Stay tuned!

Jenette Goldstien's audition as "Vasquez" impressed James Cameron so much he spent weeks fighting the studio who didn't want her because she'd never been in a movie before. That was the first role of her career. And after 10 years she'd appeared in Near Dark, Lethal Weapon 2, Terminator 2: Judgement Day and Titanic. I guess it pays to impress the Cameron.

Anyone that claims that women have to have superpowers to be considered badass, just need to see this movie (and the first one of course..). Ripley, Vasquez, Ferro, Dietrich and even Newt for that matter are girls tough as nails but don't need to be Captain Marvel. It's really refreshing.

The biggest - _biggest_ crime visited on this masterpiece was the theatrical cut. I hated it. It seemed to be 'marines in space' all of a sudden, almost from the moment that Ripley's revived. There was little to no explanation of why the mission was put together or even how they knew about the damned planet in the first place. I had NO idea what the _real_ film was like, and how badly it had been butchered until they released the DC, but by then the film had some bad reviews for its plot. Thankfully, that's all history now and I'm not sure if the theatrical cut is even offered on streaming/Blu-Ray anymore. I hope not!

Superb job Kolo! Alien 3 - it's not really called Alien raised to the power of three - is only not amazing because ALIEN$ raised expectations to an unrealistic level. Even if an alien had crawled out of Lance Henriksen's bottom, no-one would have rushed to applaud and laud the film, in spite of it not being bad at all, and having a stellar cast who don't get enough to do, sadly. Ah well, what's done is done and then Alien 4 happened...which is another story we won't go into just now, no... Was Jeanette Goldstein really in Titanic? Hey, who knew?! Near Dark is a gem...Kathryn Bigelow, though, and half of Alien$ too, so maybe not surprising.

Aliens turned what was an atmospheric, well-thought-out, cinematic masterpiece into Rambo for simpletons. Sigourney Weaver was by far the weakest actor in Alien. The bar was very high, but nonetheless, she's not a good enough lead actor. In Aliens, apart from Paul Reiser (played the part perfectly), she's the strongest actor in that film. It's a big drop in overall acting talent, not to mention Cameron, just doesn't have the same eye for detail or originality as Scott. If anyone else was given the script for Alien it would have been a straight to VHS crappy rental, B-Movie, like Dark Star. If Aliens was its own film, with no connection to Alien, it could've been good, along the lines of a better Starship Troopers, but as a follow-up to Alien, it just doesn't work. If any film could have worked well as an Alien sequel, it would have been Pitch Black set in the Alien universe, just with a better cast and Ridley Scott directing, of course.
@strats9913 ай бұрын
You sound like you'd easily suck all the fun out of any party. Trust me; you're not remotely close to being as clever as you believe you are. lol! If you think Aliens is "Rambo for simpletons" then your reading comprehension is quite low as there's literally no action whatsoever for the first whole hour. Characters like Bill Paxton's "Hudson" are still being referenced today. Weaver got an Oscar nomination for her performance. Every single detail was supervised by Cameron who used a ton of practical effects to stretch the money spent on this sequel. I strongly recommend you watch the 3.5h documentary on the making of this movie so you can understand the extent just how in the weeds you are with your opinion. I then urge you to know what you're talking about prior to publicly making stupid statements like this in the future. You'll look a hell of a lot less foolish.
