Such short term memories that before k40 and the addition ofa new coiner super gen every week or 2 Dewey (Johnson then) and Tran Hung Do werethe top 2 wall generals. Well siege is still end game king and Tran can still be found in the Tavern. Much truth that 90% or more of the wall gen is gears refine including dragons but in a game of small increments 5% her and 200 flat range there. My good ol "tavern gen " loves it when a 14B k40 sends 5m total and 3m being t15 ground at my below 5B k38 trying for a 1 tap. Then wonders what the hell he did wrong. Looks at his 2300 ground attack and 1700 def and Hp. Got maxed on hp but still sees just -400 debuff. Doesn't see the Axe, Ring, and lv15 Thebes all with siege attack flats of 400+. So much fun to be had in a stupid puzzle game.

So, essentially I can have a premium wall general plus great buffs, or a FTP wall general plus a house to live in. :)

For F2P players who find it hard to cross 500M, the only defense strategy that works is specialised. T1 + Siege to be more specific. I thought Boudica was the gen, but with T1 defense, you go flat refines than % buffs, so % mounted buffs doesnt matter. The option I went with is Ulysses S Grant.

Hello Aka! I have a question about a wall general: Ly Thuong Kiet. There is a difference between the description of this general, in my tavern, and the others. My description says: "...traps +60% and a deployed troops +30%". Others description says " ranged troops +30%". I don't know if it is a translation problem or my Ly it's a different Ly... It depends on how the skill is worded, but most likely I’d think that your wall general’s buffs would not apply to the reinforcements that you receive. Which general is this? I could take a look

Rule 1 of Wall Generals: NEVER have Shajar as your main. Seriously, I've lost count of how many times I've seen her as someone's main general. Her fantastic growth benefits work just fine as an assistant. And, of course, never have her as an assistant for PVP. Also, no duty or development generals on the wall. Seriously, last BoC before Chalons there was a player on the opposing team who had Marc Antony as wall assistant.🙄

That's nothing, someone had a Boudica+Andrew Jackson. But do you want to know the worst part of it? It worked for him. Of course, find a few K37 players to rally him and he's probably toast.

Lv45 Dewey 201 / 202 / 206 for at / def/ hp and 30.6 survival rate, while Marshal 206/206/207 and 30.98. looks like +/- same. Thast without stats from ascending and victory column

I have Marshall and Lautaro, I was thinking of doing a balanced approach, between ranged and ground troops, for that I will promote Zachary Tylor, but I am hesitant to leave Marshall or Lautaro as assistant, in Bog, the latter 2 have worked well for me. I'm K36 with 24 million research. What do you advise me?

If your main troops are going to be ranged and ground, and you already have Zachary Taylor as your main wall general, then Lautaro would be a decent option. Better yet, if you manage to get Leonidas, he would be great 👍 FTP options that you could consider are Trajan or Soult for assistants. Marshal is a bit all-round, so he probably won't give you enough of the ground buffs that you need. However, if you don't mind that, then of course, you can use him 😇

As a F2P the choice is a no brainer, go with who you are able to get the pieces to ascend. Many of the high end generals you will get one only. UNTIL Evony changes the game again.

@@swarupmondal89 it depends on your plan. If your plan is to stay at billion cavs only and sit until zeroed then ok. I like proactive defenses, small t1 and unghost to counter. With Boudica on wall that is not possible
