Great video! Nice job! The only thing I can add is when you register/signup to get the fcm token you need to do it using a mobile device. It will not work for web. I know you know that, but some people don't.

Asking as a beginner: I'm using Supabase for auth, backend and storage. There is no firebase in any stage of my project. If I follow the steps in the video, will users who message in my app be able to receive notifications on both iOS and Android?

With no Firebase, how are you sending notifications? OneSignal? That would depend 100% on what notification service you're using.
