Can you use colorants sold for resins to dye candles?

I have been using liquid dye but it’s never the same when I use I can do 16 drops and it still be a light color but the next time I use only 5 drops and it turns out a more pigmented color. I find myself using up so much and the tops end up blowing off so I’ve also waisted a few. I will be trying the dye chips instead this time. 😭

Or you could just add a crayon of the color of your liking. Crayola crayons are a great way to add color

Crayons aren’t the best for colour. You can find that the effect the wick when the candle burns. It’s call Choking the wick.

Many candle makers have spoken against using mica because of possible clogging of the wick, have you heard about this or had any issues while burning?

Yes it can clogged the wick. You just have to be careful not to overload your wax with mica. I like using mica in wax melts as when they melt the wax sparkles. Also no wick with wax melts so there is no issue with clogging
