Diet can effect their skin and hair too. Our Black oak catahoula cur gets hot spots from foods with brewer's yeast. Also Haartz products can cause seizures in cats. We used their flea drops on our cat master when she first adopted us and that night she had a seizure. After expensive tests and research we found out the seizures are a known issue with the Haartz brand.
