*more useful gameplay tips:* - walking produces absolutely no noise, only on planks - if you know a weapon's range, you can preemptively attack to catch an enemy off-guard, which is most useful for fireaxe and chainsaw - if on mistake you attack an enemy instead of executing them, the window for execution is still open due to them not being in combat phase - if you use the knife when an enemy is up against a structure which prevents them from getting knocked back, it is a perfect stunlock (which can be held true for other light weapons but the knife is the easiest one to pull off) - parrying an enemy actually saps stamina from them (little skeptical about this but eh) - dont try fighting more than one enemy at a time unless you are in multiplayer and actively cooperating, then IN THE BEST SCENARIO, three enemies at once is possible - the above is true because you can hit multiple enemies in one swing, though it is extremely difficult - if you go for an offensive playstyle, your hits can interrupt enemy swings (trading hits is also possible) - if you go for a defensive playstyle, wait for an enemy's attack, parry them, and use a light weapon to ensure that the hit(s) connect

Honestly the combat mechanics in this game are some of THE BEST I've ever seen, it's simple yet very nicely made, and I love the animations as well. Not to mention the combat is fun and a bit challenging so I like that too.

Funny thing that the game is heavily based in stealth, combat can easily get you killed in no time. Must say, chainsaws are the worst weapon you could possibly get in this game due to its noise and such.

Step 4: If you can’t be john wick or you suck at assassinating. Hit and run, run in a shadow without them seeing you.

dont let the enemy back away from a fight or he might use a health bottle. You can try to steal it from them while in fight and you can drop the health bottle by grabbing throwables. And you and your teamate can duplicate item if you grab them at the same time.

it was so hard to do this until i learned knife is good for combat and you can charge at them when their back is turned towards you it becomes suprisingly easy

The fact that light weapons are op because enemies cannot block it easily and it takes less stamina to kill the enemy.

Things I think should be added to the game: More enemy designs. Voicelines (If possible, because I think this is a one person proyect). Slightly smarter enemies (Why don´t they figure out you just got into the closest dark corner?). More weapons. Flashlight enemies (Rare) (Also it was in Manhunt, the game it was inspired from).

I've seen some npc's that seem to have more experience than others as well, like the ones in the final zone before passing the camera, those npc's know how to block the knife less

I always loved the crowbar but have yet to beat this game. After watching this I realized why I always die with the weapon that I thought was good.

The crowbar is pretty good due to how fast it is, the video is a bit outdated. However, it’s the best option against axemen, and machetemen due to being the combo and decent damage. The crowbar does more damage over time instead of constant, as the damage stacks up when they can’t parry.

So, you have to try to get combo’s similar to the axe, but with much weaker damage. The stunlock helps, and the much faster swing speed (makes it more unpredictable), and time between swings (you can get more hits)

the katana has got to be my favorite weapon, it does roughly as much damage as an axe and attacks as fast as like the knife.

I know i’m late, but maybe @ValidPoems make a part 2? One good way to use the axe is a thing i call ”Force Attack”, so against weak enemies like Machetemen, instead of parrying their attack, when they attack you also attack. However, this should ONLY be done when at above 1/2 hp bar. So, while you also take their damage, you inflict much more damage and are able to catch a gap to combo them potentially. Also be careful, as they can stunlock you if you get too ”greedy”, or just force attack constantly.

choosing light weapons over heavier weapons is the best advice and the only advice you really need to give lol for parrying and or choosing the moment to run / kick, the only advise you need is DO NOT PANIC. Read their movements carefully, and choose whether or not you're in an advantageous or disadvantageous situation. i'd recommend this game with a friend, seeing how u can only duo it, because i duo'ed it with my friend and we bullied the enemies the entire time lmfao [we pick one out of the crowd, my friend kicks them constantly, i hack and slash them into a corner until they're dead]

I find it incredibly stupid how its supposed to be a stealth game (its in the desc of the game) yet even without making any noise at all enemies can still lock straight onto you and the combat itself is trash, youre screwed either way, try and fight and you'll either win but be hit at least once eventually making you die or try to sneak past which isn't going to work as the ai will lock straight onto you immediately causing you to inevitably die either way honestly, the leave button was the best part about the game
