Oh man... WotLK was when I really got into the game - I was only leveling in Vanilla and in TBC I got one character to level 60 before starting on one of the high exp gain private servers... The thumbnails from WotLK, particularly for alchemy items, just give me nostalgia chills after religiously following the videos from Tarou WoW Guides (RyuTarouAkaTarou - any knowers?! :D). I will most definitely be disappointed when I'm actually playing it again, but I can't help being excited for the expansion!

Levelled to max from 1 in dalaran waiting raids. Was so much easier then levelling it in earlier expansions. Also coin achievement just added a little extra bonus.

You don’t get trash if you fish from pools so I got drunk and did a 3 hour fishing session fishing up Pygmy Suckerfish along the northrend coast. Got my fishing skill up to 350, got my cooking up from the cheap fish, sold 400G in sucker fish and got my turtle mount all in one go

When I was leveling through original Wrath in Borean tundra I was fishing in that little lake that's over there where there's like a fishing daily or if you kill an animal and then you jump in the water it creates a like a blood pool that's where I got my turtle mount doing that daily

"To work on your fishing skill" - A skill that completely dont matter at all in anything, anymore. I trained fishing on my hunter and went straight to scholazar basin to fish pools. Never collected a single junk item from fishing in pools there.

I leveled fishing on my main and alt, all the way to 450, in the Dalaran fountain. I had the titanium seal around level 400 on both as 400-450 takes a while. Fun Fact, load up on intellect gear and you'll level faster. They removed the tool tip, but it is still valid. This also works for leveling all professions and weapon skills. Have fun!

i just got the old Ironjaw less than 600 casts, also one of my friend was also fishing at the same time with literally 10 fishing skills and he got it in 1050 casts. So fishing skill absolutely no matter if you want to get those rare fishes.

The kaluak fishing derby was introduced in 3.3 so it probably won't be in wotlk classic until 3/4 of all the content had been released :( I would prefer having this in phase 1 but I suppose that's what seasons of mastery wotlk will take care of $$$

I never touched fishing in vanilla back in the day. I tried leveling it in classic when it released. But it was soo boring that i quit at 25 skill. Maybe I should skill up now.. since there isn't much else to do between raids now anyway.

equip the fishing pole, then in your spellbook go to the general tab and you will have an ability "Fishing" click that it will cast out. When you see the little bauble on the end of the line shake, right click on it and you might of caught a fish!

Great Video! I have a question about fishing in Woltk. Back in TBC there was a lot of information spreaded across the internet and through ppl that fishing pools was absolutely necessary to farm and open water was not reall a thing. But from my own testing i found that i could fish pretty much any fish in TBC in open water. How important are schools/pools in Wotlk? Myself try to fish when im doing other stuff at the computer (mostly work), and looking for schools at the same time is not ideal if i want to get work done. But if i want mats for my fish feast ex, do i actually have to find schools or can i find these fish in open water? Thanks for a great vid!

In both TBC and Vanilla, some fish absolutely have to be fished in pools.

Fishing in schools/pools is more beneficial if you are after a specific fish! Like targeted farm! Also the new turtle mount only comes from fishing schools! You clearly have a goal, to fish for fish feast materials. So I suggest fishing in schools/pools to avoid filling your bags with stuff that will slow you down. Also, trying to fish is not ideal while you work? Yeah, that can happen! Hahaha!

If it's just fish feast you want just fish in wintergrasp open water you will get fish feast fish and dark water clams and sometimes dragonfin angelfish

Didn't the rep tabards come out in Wrath? If so, once you hit Friendly, you can just throw the tabard on and spam dungeons until you're exalted to save yourself all the travel time and likely boring quests.

Not entirely true about fish feast always being best. I know of at least 1 example but there are probably others. Ret paladins get 15% more strength from talents so Dragonfin Anglefish are better. They give 40str which turns into 46 or 92 attack power. Sure there are other examples (armor pen fish?)

expertise or hit for tanks (all foods give stamina), some healers prefer intellect or spirit over spellpower. and yes some dps may want arpen, hit, expr, crit, whatever. Getting both ap+sp is good for enhance shamans and maybe prot/ret paladins.

For Ret paladins fish feast and str food is basically the same. Paladins get +15% str from talents and another +10% from BoK. Even so 50 strength (40*1.25=50) results in the same dps increase as 80ap+46sp. That may change later on as you get more ArPen, but even then it will barely make a difference.

@@heygek2769 oh the difference almost unnoticeable. I will point out that its not x1.25 but its x1.15 x 1.1. Again tiny difference but you don't add the percent increases together. Honestly wasnt considering spell power. It looks like fish feast would give a total ap of 80 and sp of 70 (after sheath of light) and dragonfin would give 101.2 ap and 30.36 sp. Fish is a bigger sum but its still pretty unclear because spell power and attack power aren't equal value. You get 21.2 ap in exchange for 39.64 sp and I think the extra ap will translate to damage. Could be wrong

@@paulskarantonakis6230 honestly its hard to say. Ap gives rets sp at a rate of 30%. Also even though they benefit they aren't equal in value. Ap is much more valuable because even a geared ret will have melee whites as a top 3 damage source. SP helps but not to the degree of ap so its not as simple as summing the 2 together and seeing which gives a bigger total.
