I'm such a nerd, but ALL the time turners were destroyed in the battle at the ministry in book 5, and were never replaced. This annoys me. I'm sure I'll still love the ride and story, but damn what a miss from the ride development team...

This storyline happens after the story is completed. This is when Harry, Ron, and Neville are already auroras, so it has nothing to do with the current storyline.

@@a.y.greyson9264 literally during the battle at the ministry in book 5 all of the time turners were destroyed. The only way time turners could still be left is if this took place before Umbridge was found in the forest with the centaurs.

@@a.y.greyson9264 also, I think you are correct about the timing, but like I said in my previous comment, the time turners were destroyed when Harry and the DA members went to the Ministry and battled the death eaters for the prophecy. Long before they were aurors after the war.

@@rufftastic I’m well aware of this, but it’s clear JK Rowling is conveniently tweaking the existence of the time-turners to fit this plot line. As in book 5 she’s points out that the time turners were Ministry approved model, while years later mentioned that there might be unapproved models on the black market. Wild, I know. Also, it should be noted that the time-turners weren’t exactly destroyed, but were trapped in a time loop, rendering them useless. So, take that as you will, I haven’t read the books in over a decade.
