I loved the way you pointed out the fact that they didn’t have the Bible to explain it all .What they knew in their hearts was having a hard time grasping in their minds I suppose. I always felt that they were so blessed to be able to sit with Him, be with Him daily! Learn from God Himself! These 12 disciples suffered the most for Jesus!! That’s when I’m grateful God saved me for the last days😁😁!! I loved learning about a “true Jew”. Thats what I’m going to think of when I want to explain the difference to people the difference between truly born again Christians and pew warmers. Or the difference between religion and man made rules such as Catholicism or Mormonism…❤️love you Pastor Allen and your lovely wife too❣️

I'm convinced i was awakened by the Holy Spirit to hear this message. It's 2:18 in the morning. I need to give up some things for the sake of my life in Christ. I understand now why I've been feeling stagnant in my walk. Thank you Lord for truth, even in the middle of the night when i fell asleep with my phone on.

Then you’re like me , I’m not alone doing this , whenever I woke up at night or early mornings I put my KZbin on with bible study and I listen and learn , I think the HS is doing this because at night it’s quiet in the house and in my heart and I can understand better the bible, also I pray and God gives me dreams or I could feel His presence with me ! Be blessed!

I know that song and it brought before me my childhood in church where we sang these songs with gladness and innocent and we grow up and acquire knowledge of good and evil and we partake in the acts of sin and are left confused that we have ate of the fruit of good and evil and shy from God . Naked so we hide but God will cloth us and and varnish our sin and we shall be confident again before Him who became as we and died (Christ Jesus ) . Thank you Jesus our Christ for salvation for I do not know how I can defend myself before the throne until I heard the gospel that I'm forgiven and will be taught righteousness and we be right and perfect as He is .

The breakdown of why John was the one that Jesus loved because John loved Jesus the most. That no matter who you are in Life or what you are in life when you make Jesus the most important person in your life you in return will be important to him. That was beautiful.

Peter and Andrew probably had a family business, as did James and John. Matthew also would have been wealthy. Not sure about the rest. There are indications all through the gospels that the disciples had money or benefactors. Unfortunately, certain modern ideologies idolize the poor and demonize those that have some wealth. That is not Biblical. It is the LOVE of money that is the root of evil, not money itself. Someone can be poor and love money. Another can be wealthy and give it away generously.

KZbin seems to pick their own order on occasion. I think I stopped in every rest area on I-40 to search for the next sermon on Revelation, The Olivet Discourse, and others. Anyways, that’s good teaching, Pastor Allen! Keep up the good work brother.

You expressed many take aways to me. I made notes. I love learning & hearing the many lessons in the Bible & how you break it down so my contemporary mind understands. The couple of things that stuck with me is that the 12 Disciples were very wealthy people with political influence similar to our upper top 5 or 10 percent in to today's society. Also, somehow I previously missed the fact that Jesus had 500 or more, every day average people as "followers" were also considered "disciples." What was completely new to me was that women had an opportunity to handle money & made donations to help fund Jesus' ministry. I thought women were complete chatel in a Patriarch society. Also the definitions of disciple, & omnipresent, "anywhere at any time not at one time." May God keep you & bless you & yours. TY for posting.

Three questions I should ask myself when studying/reading the Word of God _ the Bible: •Is there a command to follow? •Is there an example I should follow? •Is a principle I should live by? - - - - - God loves everyone _ but He is passionate towards those who are passionate towards Him. I’m so grateful to you Alan I’m gonna ask you a few questions sometimes and I’ll look forward to meeting you someday God bless you and yours brother Jack from Indianapolis Indiana.

Please, Pastor Allen, explain what is meant by this experience: prayed for God to place me in a certain ministry; as I waited I thought I heard God say to me, “You will be here someday.” ; that was over 40 years ago but it never happened. I’ve clung to God’s promise for so long, through decades of serving Him in other ways while longing for Him to keep His promise; now I’m too old for it to ever happen, so I’m deeply disappointed that I was never placed in that ministry’s headquarters….. I accept that I must have misunderstood what I thought was a promise from God….but I’ve lived a long time hoping and waiting and being ready to go where I believed He was calling me. Please help me ….. I’ve lost the belief that God speaks to us now, and that we can hear Him speak to us today. I’m 75; it’s too late for me to be placed where I thought God was going to place me. I still love Him and love studying His word and love teaching His Word, but I am not able to solve my confusion about this area of prayer. Thank you.

Lisa That Gary Nolan video link I sent you on Job talks about this in that Job had to realize that even though he was righteous he still needed a mediator between himself and God. He had to realize only God’s grace was sufficient because of sin nature.

I used to think it was just those 12 Jesus sent out into the world. I heard through a Bible trivia that he sent 72. Is this fact?

Matthew was a tax collector for the romans. The citizens called these people traitors because they worked for the romans.Matthew was also the richest of the diciples i would imagine. The tax collectors always chargeda little more than they had to keep for themselves.

Amen to that! I wish there was a church that teaches like this here in the north east. I hope to be able to visit this church some day soon in the very near future before the Rapture.

In one of your rabbit trails, you drop a lot of nuggets. One of them was that verse that the gift Caesars are always using about when that which is perfect as calm and you had a verse to resolve that could you please share that with me because I love my dispensational people but they’re really blind when it comes to that area and they always using that verse. Could you expound on a little bit? I bet eternally grateful brother Jack.

Such great information...but then you couldn't resist the nasty put down for mothers in law!!! I thank God you are not my son in law. A Baptist pastor did that when we were looking for a church. It felt like a stab in the heart to me since I do everything I can to help my own son in law, a pastor in Israel. We never went back to that church and there were other reasons as well. He mentioned that he took his wife to see the then latest James Bond film. I'm sure you would never do that, but please! Not all mothers in law are mean! A lot of us are trying to follow Jesus and if we are fortunate enough to get a son in law who also loves him, we pull out all the stops to help that young man.

And sometimes it’s the son-in-law or daughter-in-law who is the problem.

I use to think Enoch and Elijah didnt die and that was actually them with Jesus. But Jesus came quickly and said do not tell anyone about this vision until the Son of Man rises.
