Yokai Watch 3 is horrible, story alternates forcing everyone to play a male protagonist and forces everyone to play a female protagonist instead of letting player main one or the other by choice like Yokai Watch 1 and 2. Persona 6 should be like P3P with protagonist choice, not overlapping the characters cause you know Atlus would give FeMC less playability if the MCs shared one story playthrough . It would NOT be acceptable to merge the male and female MC stories , Pokemon fans would reject it. Mass Effect fans would reject it. The Elder Scrolls fans would reject it. soulsborne fans would reject that format too. let players play as whatever the players want the whole time,. Yokai Watch 3 was the series downfall dictating which MC the player uses. Persona MCs are avatars so let players pick whichever MC the players want to play as the whole game. making P6 MCs like Yokai Watch 3 instead of like SMT if...or P3P would no longer feel like a personal experience and more an interactive movie people may as well just watch on youtube instead. YW3 style would be a rude way to ruin it for those that want to just play as Female MC !!

I hope they really focus on the character writing this time around, even though I love the phantom thieves there were a few areas in their writing that fell short. Ann being sexualized RIGHT after Kamoshidas palace and not sticking up for herself in a meaningful way, Futaba acting like you completed her social link like right after she joins, and Haru not having any story relevance and joining way too late to form a connection with.

i just hope that party 2nd awakenings happen in the plot and not after Slink. persona has a mini problem of characters fading into the background as the story continues but p3 having them come to their own resolutions as the plot gets to the end was so satisfying

One thing I have also seen people talk about is something with wrapping together the 3 previous protagonist to solve a worldwide problem together. Idk how it’d work but the idea of tying together the stories would be kinda cool

I don't see how something like this could generate a cohesive, quality story. I'd rather know that the Joker and the protagonist of Persona 4 are living their normal, happy lives together with their friends and love interests, and explore a new protagonist and group of friends. The protagonist of Persona 3 will probably never return, as he is the seal that is stopping Nyx from consuming the world.

To add to the idea of 2 protagonists in this hypothetical there could be another Justine & Caroline situation but, in this case, both protagonists can have one half or person, this could make them total opposites, and depending on what happens to one half the other also gets affected. One protagonist's velvet room could be in the sky while the other could be in the sea still showing the usual blue in the games.

The biggest problem I have with Persona is just how hand holdy it is. It repeats A LOT of dialogue over and over and characters point out very obvious things that anyone with more than 2 brain cells could notice. It’s very unnatural and I’d go as far as to say it’s BAD dialogue. And the tutorials 15 - 20 + hours in to a game are UNBEARABLE. I have not finished P5 to this day because of it nearing the end of the game 6 times. Edit: I do like the games btw P4 is one of my favorite games and I enjoy 3 despite its pacing and issues. But as a series Shin Megami and Persona aren’t series that I LOVE and only sing praise for

I personally would love if all the characters are from different countries and they each have access to whatever the dungeon will be called in their respective countries, and that's how they meet each other. What's more, make it so that most (if not all) of them can only understand each other in that dungeon, so they can introduce a language barrier in social links.

I hope that for persona 6 they take the right lessons from persona 5's success. I think a big contributor was just a larger scale, as well as refining a lot of gameplay systems like dungeons being actual levels with variety and mechanics and stuff, or making social links give gameplay benefits outside of the fusion xp buff. The things like that are what I think were the greatest strengths of P5, bringing all the systems up to scratch gameplay-wise. I just worry that they might see how well persona 5 performed, especially with bringing new blood into the playerbase, and rely on it *too* much and end up making a game that feels like persona 5: 2.

Yeah it just feels like they gave a lot of the systems meaning to the actual gameplay. Also I think Palaces are far more interesting than anything else in the Persona metaverse. So while I obviously don’t want more Phantom Thieves, I hope they can at least keep the idea of palaces.

Yeah, there’s just some things Persona won’t stray away from: high school. I think it’s mainly since they view adolescence as the “peak” of their life, with endless possibilities. So I don’t ever see a college or adult Persona unfortunately. I think the riskiest thing they could do is add a female protagonist again and maybe male romance options. Otherwise, they’re basically using a similar formula. They can change up the themes though, and they’ve released constant bangers, so I’m letting them cook and giving them faith!

This may sound weird, but I think it kinda makes sense for Atlas to make p6 shorter to me. Give the series a slight rest, redo p4 in the fancy new graphics within the next 5 years, and then go all out for p7. It's been a trend with every other persona game being a major change in the game, whereas pairs like 1&2, 3&4 are quite similar. Also other than somebody who maybe works at atlas saying that p6 will be green this told us nothing about p6, as it has not been reliably leaked or announced. Sorry

I hope they are continue the p3 story. Let me explain. Yes the P3 end like the main protagonist died at the end of the game Or at least... what we thought. More like he sacrificed himself to save the humanity and lock out Nyx. This turn out somewhere in the P4 when Margaret ask Elizabeth why she leave the Velvet room? I have a stupid theory in which if we are following the Jojo storyline Persona 6 will be a conclusion to everything so far (spoilers from here), which means I hope Persona 6 will be a conclusion of Persona 3 ending aka saving Makoto it also connects with how Elizabeth is said to be travelling to find people who is capable of helping so I hope Persona 6 could be all the previous protagonists trying to save Makoto from being door-kun (since it could also work with the multiple protagonists at once)

I think female protagonist and LGBT romance options are overdue, but I would also like it if the game could be paced better. So far I've played Persona 5 and 3 and both of these games run into the same issue where the pacing is just awful. Something crazy happens, then it's like 2-3 weeks of just doing whatever you want while the main cast keep reminding you "hey wasn't that thing crazy? don't forget for the next big story beat."

personally I am more focused on how one gets their "persona" I won't be happy if do it "shoot yourself in the head" I hope they do in the way Persona 5 does it, because yeah its painful to awaken in such a manner going though a splitting headache before ripping a mask off your face, but in doing so they free themselves from their timid half and become more confident, but theres also what your persona say when you awaken "I am thou, thou art I, the world is filled with both beauty and vice, it is time you teach people which is which"

I can say all we know a lot of is what Persona 6 is NOT going to have at least the story elements , Atlus surely cannot rehash any of the same story elements from P5 Strikers,or Tactica, and P5X and P5X has soo many new characters, themes, villains, I’m really surprised how much there adding under the p5 umbrella I really wonder what would they have for a Persona 6 game, characters & story. The only element I can see them keeping is that Persona games are pretty align with the current year it was released, technology, and kinda the political climate at the time so it would have to be placed in the 2020s but yeah P6 game is going to be something widely different from the current formula

i would like to see lieke a map with multiple diffrent cites more advance time manamagent like travel maybe wasting a bit of time and a mechanic to meet up with a group of friend not it just being a event

the way they might going with 2 MC's sound like they're taking a cue from Like A Dragon 8. wtere there are 2 MC's from two different locations. Also, I'm kind of tired of fans bitching about high school. I think the High school setting works. trying to move away from high school could divide fans.
