Been a regular supporter of PUBG for several years, from Sydney/Australia. As it stands right now, the merge took me from 10~15ms ping to 100~110ms. Whilst I might still play the game from time to time, I don't see myself contributing financially when I can't even get below 100ms ping to what is now my local region.

Same here, and we're constantly paired with Chinese, Vietnamese, or Koreans - many who don't speak English or have a weird play style - they tend to drive off ingame and/or do their own thing. The lag is unfair. Plenty of times I've missed shots that would've hit before the merge. I uninstalled it and likely won't be going back until they improve the ping

The only 2 circumstances I though the new boat would be usefull is 1: if you're stuck in water (for whatever reason) you could use it to escape - unfortunatly you cant deploy it while swimming. 2: When you end up with some sort of island circle - but you'd then need to either find it (luck) or to have carried that thing around for the entire game.

The main strength of the boat is probably that you can deploy it and sail off from wherever there is water, in contrast to the other boats which have specific spawns.

There’s no motor so no rudder. Just the front two paddles to steer.

Looks like steering in this configuration would be very limited and done by everyone simultaneously, (like tracks on a tank) a whole side needs to take a deep stroke or hold the paddle to steer. In raft like this usually everyone has one paddle and there one person can steer and control but still needs the whole team to do it properly. From the preview it looks incredibly awkward. But, can't really expect much more than this since we still don't have any animations of entering or exiting car or changing seats....

For the casual player maybe not so much, but I am one of those players who will never cross the bridges and always look for a boat, and as vulnerable as you will be in one of those I'd still use that option over crossing Bridges with how likely they are to be camped.

I think the boat is awesome. Goes well with the military theme with it being such an icon for navy seals. My first thought was this will be great on erangel for a military finish when all the boats have been snagged up. One wish, pegs for the bicycle!!!!! Let them be world spawn so you can pick up two sets for front and rear wheels.

The point of the inflatable boat would be for those Erangel circles where it pulls to military and you don't want to cross a bridge camp. You would want to build the boat early if possible to not sacrifice the backpack space for storing it.

Makes sense in a void where other options don't exist. But we have actual boats, E Pickups, Ferries, we don't need another get out of jail free card...why have a bridge if you're gonna engineer the game so people don't use them? Senseless, this just encourages avoiding combat 🤣 If you rotate late, you get got. Just because someone's bridge camping doesn't mean you can't out shoot them and win. You're just looking for ways to excuse not trying to improve at the core gameplay.

The boat could be really useful on Taego if someone's bridge camping I'd say, due to the lack of boats. Depending on how quiet it is, maybe you could also use it to quickly sneak across underneath the bridge if you're fighting said bridge campers, getting an unexpected flank.

Meh its a patch. Very underwhelming though. The boat just seems like another niche item that will mostly be ignored. I get why they did it, its essentially like a late to circle rotate thing you can find while looting (like e-pickup) that will give a second chance to getting in the circle, that's about it. we can see from capacity it takes, they don't want you carrying in while in battle like a folded shield. I'm not sure I understand the idea behind more loot when not adjusting the loot tables or doing something like more boat spawns. I'm not sure I understand their logic here. But I guess its PUBG at the end of the day. I tried to use it in training mode, and it would constantly be interrupted so, I think its bugged, or unavailable in training. The hot drop game mode is cool. People on reddit complaining about it being TPP. But I think in a hot drop, you're facing everyone so it matters less what perspective you're in. But we will see. But I do agree it just thins the queues more again, especially with South America going back in December. Everything else in the patch is pretty much a throw away. Barely good QoL stuff and healthy changes. The marketplace stuff is whatever. Just another token that people will be confused about in special crafting kek.

Finnaly some proper skins you can wear for the occasion. Now i can wear my Pro-Tect fatigues for Normal and Casual games as a standard security guard, And the newest skins they dropped as a A.T.H.U (Anti-Try-Hard-Unit) Not to mention the helmet with quad goggles, skin for the JS9 that gon fit my fatuiges, and the Jam-pack gets a skin as well, you can see it on the photo, the antenna in the back. Disappointed that the sets you can buy with Black Market Tokens are mostly cotton candy, but i suppose its the price we gotta pay for the military skins, last year there was Pillar Tactical, but couldnt buy it as i didnt have a job at the time. Patching the game as we speak, gonna give it all a go when im home :D

played with it today the inflatable boat can be deployed in interesting places as long as there is room, i parachuted into the top of church tower at ruins, and i was able to deploy it inside the top of the tower lol, not sure if thats usefull or not (might be able to deploy on a partially covered roof to provide some protection from below lol (like on milta power))

@@CDome knowing PUBG they will patch it, a lot of my weird angle, weird fight, odd spot locations and tricks have been patched lol (recently they moved the revive tower on the top of military base mountain off from the observatory deck to the ground so you cant use it to vault onto the roof anymore which i found no one checked so it was a perfect hiding spot when you were surrounded by multiple teams on the mountain and you got stuck being a solo, just wait for the fight to begin and third party with a VSS)
