I gotta be honest. I am probably the opposite of hype for gta 6. I hope it is good, I hope the single player is going to be bigger and better than ever. But I think they got a bit too much mileage off of their loan shark cards and gta online revenue. I think they are going to gut the single player in favor of extra online development... I can't trust any game studios these days, not even rockstar is immune from skepticism. Keep in mind I was not a gta online fan. but based on player counts I am the odd one out.

They have Billions that I am sure they could spare a Shark Cards worth of money to invest in making proper Anti-Cheat that hopefully works on all platforms. Heck I would of been happier if the Anti-Cheat actually worked but not only does it not work.. rumors that the cheaters are using the very Battleye Anti-Cheat to get others banned. I do have an Alienware R5 Laptop that still has Windows due the Dual-GPU nature and some driver issues.. nVidia just does not like Linux unless it says RTX on it, but it runs hot, Windows is annoying on it, and I just can't be bothered other then to watch some KZbin on it on occasion...

I got my start in game development in GTASA. I worked on a trainer menu called s0b31t and made a few mods, the most popular being one that let you change the gangs colors around. You could make grove street red, blue, purple, the ballers those plus green, the mexican gangs the same. I don't know if its the same for players who didn't grow up in the PS2 era, but for me especially its just so exciting to have a new iteration of Miami again. My biggest concern for GTA6 was a return to liberty city, because in my opinion the GTA4 map was probably the least exciting of them all - there wasn't even any need for fast cars because you'd get from one side of the map to the other so quickly that you ran out of road to have fun with anyway. GTA5 was a great revisit to San Andreas, but never really found anything outside of the city very interesting, it needed a small injection of life put into it.. Miami could be the one to change that and after seeing the trailer I feel pretty confident it could be one of the best maps they've made, hopefully one that I can enjoy in its entirety. I really hope they make the NPC activity a bit more chaotic though, if NPCs were sometimes acting up like the player does the environment would feel more like GTA than ever. Always felt weird that its a hyperchaotic parody but the only time anything wild happens is when you do it. Get some NPC shootouts, high speed chases and muggings going on that I can enjoy spectating without always being at the center of the action.

From what we've seen in the leaks years ago, GTA will at least have solid gameplay and a great foundation, while the Saints Row reboot didn't even have that. Still keeping my expectations low as most of Rockstar is not the team that made GTA 5 and RDR2 anymore.
