Everything You Need to Know About Scott McLaughlin

This weekend at the IndyCar Series Season Finale 3-Time V8 SuperCars Series Champion Scott McLaughlin will be making his NTT IndyCar Series debut in the #3 Shell Chevrolet for Team Penske.
Scott McLaughlin got his first IndyCar opportunity this spring at IndyCar Spring Training at COTA and went on to even do some oval testing but was not able to race his previously scheduled start at the Grand Prix of Indianapolis. However it was announced last month that McLaughlin would be making his debut at St Petersburg on October 25th 2020.
I expect Scott McLaughlin will have a debut that rivals that of Robert Wickens debut in 2018, But we will just have to wait and see. Stay tuned for more content from the grounds at St Petersburg this weekend to keep up to date with all the action happening!

Look Scotty Mac has more talent in his little finger than he knows what to do with. The reason I don't like him personally is because of his attitude. He is good enough that he does not need to put other drivers into the wall like he did Lowndes at Newcastle. There are other examples of this poor attitude as well. Note. Van Gisbergan is in the same boat. Basically Scotty has more than enough talent to win by driving clean, no need to be dirty as well.

@@bhagvedsingh2147 except the Ford Falcon FGX was outdated in 2018, the new ZB Commodore had better aero and centre of gravity and dominated, Scotty Mac was the only Ford Falcon in the top 10 and won because his engineer pulled all the rear aero off the Falcon as the ZB also had less drag. This made the Falcon faster on the straights but very unstable in the corners and under heavy braking. Only Scotty Mac could control the Falcon like that and said he actually preferred a loose car setup anyway. The dudes a young legend mate, he’ll do good things in Indy car, give him time.

Rookie of the year in year 1, year 2, he has now put himself into title contention in the final Indycar race of 2022. This guy is the real deal the Champion of the Champions in the making. Proved it against the likes of Champions Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup long time ago and yet still we rise with him today. While Scott Dixon holds the the crown for second most titles in Indycar, be assured Scotty Mac will set Dixon as the his new benchmark to reach, which is no easy feat for any competitive racer to achieve. The motivation burning inside him is already blazing sparked by his star idols feats in Indycar and use the motive as key to emulate the champ in many ways he can. He may or may not get 6 or 7 titles to end with, but if you know one thing about Scott McLaughlin, he to us, he already is the Champion of Champions.

Had the opportunity to chat with him several times out side of the racing environment, he's definitely no tall-poppy (up himself), you can have a yarn and a laugh with him just like any other bloke. The reason Scottie is so good at what he does is because he's always been encouraged to be himself in the shadow's of his peers. He's never been told to "Be Like or Do Like". He has talent to boot and will to succeed. I hope team Penske (pesky to some) don't try and mould Scottie into a marketing tool for name's sake. Hey Scottie, show them Yanks how it's done and won. Tremendous challenge ahead for that driver, he is kind old for nowadays standard, (he is young indeed) an Indycar is way way way light weight, more agile on handling than a Supercar, more corner speed also, his teammates are at top of the pole, and he has little formula experience, good luck driver you will need it.

Group C didn't start in 1965. It was series production(Stock production cars) Until 1972 when on a slow news day with the the headline 160mph cars soon. Holden,Ford and Chrysler kill off their planed supercars.Know as the supercar scare en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supercar_scare. Group C started in '73 until '84. What about the Holden Toranas?

Why then with a hand full of laps remaining did they bring the lowndes car in and send him out as the 17 returned to the track. If Scott lost one more position whincup wins title. Now I'm no expert but lowndes on fresh tyres with 2 or 3 laps to go is a pretty good chance of passing a much younger with much older tyres driver. Convince me otherwise

Ok or maybe scott had a crap race, 888 have no obligation to make it easy, scotty got done speeding in pit lane, he spun de Silvestro no dispute totally him, he only had to finish 11th, those penalties put him there not 888 or lowndes, he clearly put lowndes into the wall, no conspiracy, or then supercars must have given him the championship the next 3 yrs then, maybe fabs didnt back the pack up at bathurst so scotty could get a guaranteed clean pit stop in 2019 🤔
